Good Tangalooma experience

Nice staff and good environment. dining options are limited. (There is a supermarket but hotel itself has no kitchen. You should book condominium in order to cook your own food) Dolphin feeding is interesting.

The resort has plenty of activities

The resort has plenty of activities for everything under the sun but they come with steep prices though! Unfortunately, the weather was not in our favour during our recent stay at the resort. If you are there for a 1-2 day stay, check the weather forecast ahead before you made your booking.

Lots of the popular activities were sold out before we even got there, but the ecorangers were very friendly and provided great insights about the natural surroundings and animals. Kids loved this place.

Moreton Island is a magical place

Moreton Island is a magical place but we were very disappointed with the general state of the hotel and eating facilities. We didn't enjoy the way you are greeted and then shepherded through the facilities like a bunch of new recruits in front of the existing guests. The restaurants are very disappointing. The dishes are not cleaned properly and every dish required an additional wipe with a serviette to try and clean old remnants of food or drink. The restaurants are below average in many respects and although the "steak house" has the best venue on the island it offers the odd combination of soup, salad and pudding for $24.00. To "upgrade" to steak or chicken you pay an additional $12.00. There is a tangible lack of supervision in the restaurants with a complete lack of concern by the staff manning the restaurants. They should consider outsourcing the restaurants to raise the standards. Overall we did enjoy the island, especially the wild dolphin viewing and feeding. Thank you
