Tangalooma Island Resort is located on Brisbane's doorstep only a 75 minute cruise away. The resort, located on Moreton Island, is surrounded by crystal clear water and set amongst the beauty of Queensland's Moreton Bay. The resort is a perfect destination for guests seeking a unique adventure, educational or nature based experience. The star attraction at the resort is the pod of wild bottlenose dolphins that visit the resort each evening! Other activities on offer include ATV Quad Bike Tours, Marine Discovery Cruises, Snorkelling, Desert Safari Tour including sand tobogganing and much more! A highlight of any stay is the opportunity to interact closely with nature. All guests have the opportunity to view the wild dolphins nightly, with commentary by an Eco Ranger from the Marine Education and Conservation Centre. In the mornings the resident pelicans and cormorants enjoy a bucket or two of fish hand fed to them on the beach. When visiting during the whale migration season from June to the end of October, you can partake in the Whale-watching cruise and catch a close view of these majestic mammals. Located in the Moreton Bay and Islands region, visitors can indulge in a wide range of adventure or nature based tours and activities on offer. The resorts Desert Safari tour allows guests to participate in the thrilling sport of sand tobogganing down a 70 metre high sand dune - it's exhilarating fun! Other action packed things to do include the adrenalin filled ATV quad bike tour, parasailing and helicopter joy flights just to name a few. Tangalooma's Marine Discovery Cruise allows resort guests to journey south along the western coastline of Moreton Island in search for dugongs, dolphins, turtles, rays and a wide variety of bird life. The resort features a variety of different dining options that can cater for any budget, including Tursiops Buffet Restaurant, Fire & Stone Restaurant, the Beach Cafe and the Coffee Shop. The wide range of accommodation available allows the Resort to cater to a variety of guests, including families, couples, professionals and travellers of any age. From traditional hotel facilities, to luxury beachfront units and contemporary island holiday homes with million dollar views, Tangalooma has it all.
