This Motel is in a very good location,

This Motel is in a very good location, just within walking distance to the main Airlie Beach. Had a meal at the restaurant, very affordable. The room was very clean and comfortable. I would stay at this Motel again.

Room needs updating, but beds

Room needs updating, but beds comfy. Restaurant offers $2 steaks for inhouse guests which was excellent! Only provided with one small shampoo for 4 guests, but hosts happy to provide forgotten item (my son's toothbrush) for no charge. Washing dishes prior to vacating is expected or you will be charged!!!!!! Brochures outdated as lists some things that are not relevant or available any more.

nothing to write home about

we got to the hotel and were handed a key and said, this is your room. i asked whether it was the room i had booked and it turns out it wasn't. why should i have to do all the work to be sure i got what i paid for? the room itself felt a bit like a jail cell or a hospital. the walls were concrete that had been painted white. the room had very little personality. the bathroom shower reminded me of something you would find on a boat or in an RV. you had to step up into a stall and i was afraid of slipping after the shower was used by my friend. i'm not short but the step up was excessive. everyone raved about the $2 steak at the hotel but you should spend your money elsewhere. it might be good value but it was tough and sooo hard to chew that it wasn't worth the bargain. very disappointing. location wise, this hotel would be better with a car. it's about the farthest walk from town and in the pouring down rain, it was too far. all in all, i wouldn't book this again.

book a trip to whitehaven beach with whitehaven xpress. their boat is smaller so you won't have too many people at whitehaven beach if you can get there before the bigger boats. they also hike up to hill inlet so you can have a look over whitsunday island. they do not provide you with water, even at lunch though. that was surprising.

Although a scenic walk up hill

Although a scenic walk up hill it takes a good 15 minutes to the main part of Airlie Beach, but there is a bus-stop nearby. We only had a one night stay and walked it twice. Accommodation is good with a nice lagoon type pool to relax around and restaurant serves reasonable meals for dinner if you are home after a big day out on the water. Continental breakfast was included in the rate but is basic, especially if you like drinking from big white mugs. Pleasant gardens & in-house movies.

only have one gripe we couldnt

only have one gripe we couldnt get aircon on, turned on every switch we could find had to get receptionist to do it. maybe a few words when we checked in would have solved problem

for an aprtment there wasnt much

for an aprtment there wasnt much facilites for cooking eg no toaster no cutting board, crappy pan it could of been a little more organised

Loved the pool with shade and

The rooms are clean & fairly basic

The rooms are clean & fairly basic but good value for the price and the facilities are good for the rating staff are very friendly and helpful. Would stay there again
