THINGS TO KNOW:
Valet Car Parking / Car Parking The Hotel offers a valet car parking service for all guests. It is subject to availability at time of arrival, guest car being registered and charges apply.
Credit Card Imprint & Cash Deposit: Upon check-in, every guest is required to provide a credit card pre-authorisation amounting to $300 for any incidental charges that may be incurred during the stay. The money is placed on hold but not withdrawn from the account. On check out the pre-authorisation will be released if there are any charges that need to be settled on departure. This transaction will release the hold on the money. If no transaction is processed on departure the hold will last for a period of up to 7 days before automatically being released by the bank. If the guest does not want to use a credit card a cash deposit will be required of a minimum $300.
Credit Card Surcharge: A surcharge of 1.5% is applicable for payments made via credit card. This surcharge will be calculated and added to the entire charge at time of processing.
Non Smoking Policy
The Darwin Central Hotel is a 100% non smoking property with no smoking allowed throughout the whole complex. Guests are required to initial on the guest registration card that they are aware of our non smoking policy. Any guest found in breach of the Hotel's non smoking policy may be charged additional cleaning fees ($300 minimum charge) and loss of revenue compensation. Guests who fail to comply with the Hotel's non smoking policy may be requested to vacate their hotel room and the premises and forfeit any deposits made with the Hotel.

The hotel is nice, it's aging a bit and it's a bit pricey, but I think compared with the rest of Darwin it represents good value. The real killer is the cost of internet (over $10 an hour) and that at the time I was there Wifi wasn't working with Apple products. There's a washer and dryer for $4/each. Breakfast is filling with a lot of options. The staff was helpful. They stored our bags and gave us 30 minutes extra for a late check-out.

Go next door to the restaurant Salvatores, you can hang out there and use free wifi (actually from McDonalds and a travel company that are located nearby, but Salvatores is a nice spot to hang out

Excellent experience. Hotel located right in heart of Darwin's centre. Staff couldn't have done any more for us and were always friendly and happy to help. Room clean and spacious. Wouldn't hesitate to stay at Darwin Central next time.

I stayed here two nights and was
I stayed here two nights and was treated very well by all the staff. On check in I was upgraded to a premium suite which was a delightful surprise. I would easily stay there again and would definitely recommend it. It is expensive, but very easy walking distance from the main hub.

The Darwin Central Hotel provided
The Darwin Central Hotel provided extremely good value for money. The room was clean and modern, and was serviced well. The breakfast service was efficient but relaxed and the hotel is located, as the name suggests, in the heart of the city. The only issue with this place, that appears to be the case for many hotels in Darwin, is that the internet service is expensive. Otherwise, having stayed in a couple of places in Darwin during my trip, I would highly recommend this place.

I was very happy with my room,
I was very happy with my room, it was large and clean. The check in was efficient, but they were busy and it took a bit longer than expected to check in. On check out they looked after our luggage before we had to leave for the airport and they also let us have a shower at the pool to freshen up as the weather was very hot. Great hotel in good location, would stay again.
