Good location for the price
The gentleman on the desk during the day was most courteous and helpful. He helped us to arrange to be picked up for a tour to the Blue Mountains the next morning. He told us how to get tickets for the Sydney City Tour, and the Harbor Lunch Cruise. He stopped by our table every morning as we had the complimentary breakfast to see how we were doing, and asked what he could do to help us. He even called a cab for us the night before we checked out, and had it there to pick us up before he came on duty that morning. He made our stay most enjoyable.

Rooms are really tiny. First room
Rooms are really tiny. First room i was put in didnt have a heater, being winter it didnt help. Then when I asked if I could be moved as I didnt want to get frost bite I was told that there were no rooms... when it was obvious that I was probably the only one in the entire hotel. The next room I was moved to still didnt have a heater that worked so I gave up. The shower screen doors in both rooms were a little broken. The worst thing of all was ALL the noise from outside on the main street and also the train station near Central. But as stated previously, it was ok for the price.

A great base for comfortable budget
A great base for comfortable budget accommodation in Sydney. The rooms are small but sufficient for those who are just looking for somewhere to sleep. The range of international visitors gives the place a cosmopolitan sense, whilst feeling secure and safe. A simple breakfast is included in the very reasonable tariff. This is a regular haunt of ours for short stays in this city. Ideal for people from small businesses needing somewhere to stay without overspending on accommodation.

The hotel is located right beside
The hotel is located right beside the train lines and trains are constantly going by, right through the night so it is very noisy. Rooms are very small but clean.

The check-in was a bit of a hurdle
The check-in was a bit of a hurdle for me. The receptionist informed me that I had a balance outstanding. I had thought I had paid out the full amount via the rates to go website. I was able to sort out the issue after calling the rates to go office in Sydney. I therefore did not have to pay out the amount. The rooms are reasonably clean. The bedding and towels are all white which give an impression of cleanliness. The entertainment in the room is pretty basic. An old tv with the old analogue stations (ABC, SBS, 7, 9 and 10). A kettle to prepare coffee or tea was provided in the room. The closest train station is Central which is slightly over a 5 minutes walk. One can also stroll to the city centre which is not too far of from the hotel. The breakfast is pretty basic. Tea/coffee, juice, cereal and bread.

It's amazing just what you can
It's amazing just what you can fit into a matchbox-sized room. At least the hotel rate was favourable and continental breakfast included. Unfortunately, you can't prebook car-parks and I missed out.
