Vibe Hotel Rushcutters Sydney

We stayed at several hotels in the Sydney area and this was the only one we regretted. We paid for a Park View room and didn't get it. We asked if they could give us Internet or something for our loss and they would only say sorry too bad. When there was a loud band in their bar, they had at least 10 complaints calling in and showing up personally at the front desk while we were there trying to be moved to a quieter room. Their only response was to say that the music would end at 11pm- so sorry. If you want to use the bathtub, you will need to remove the filter on the tub faucet or it will take several hours to fill the tub. We discovered that the area of Kings Cross is known as the red light district of Sydney. The hotel is not very convenient for transportation or tourist sites.

The breakfast buffet was literally the worst i've ever had at any hotel in my entire life. There was mold all throughout the room, on the curtains, in the bathroom, etc. Cracks up the walls. I'd expect this to be a 2 star hotel or worse. This place did not live up to 4 star expectations by any means.

pretty good hotel. quite close to the bondi beach and its clean and quick check-in and out. the only one problem is the room card sometimes do not work well

Ich war bereits das 2. Mal in diesem Hotel und es war wieder alles perfekt. Die Lage ist gut, das Personal sehr freundlich. In wenigen Minuten zu Fuß ist man mitten im Nachtleben von Sydney. Auch wenn man mit Familie unterwegs ist, ist das Hotel in Betracht zu ziehen, allerdings muss man sehr viel mit dem Taxi erledigen, wenn man zur Opera oder in die Stadt möchte. Ich war geschäftlich dort, und daher war das kein Problem.

Vi bodde i ett rum högt upp med utsikt mot park, kostade lite mer men det var det värt. + för poolen på taket ock strövområde i park.

30min internet daily for free was ridiculous. For example many bookings for attractions and places should be nowdays made over the internet and having it only once in 24 hours was a bit complicated. Not that we let the fact ruin our holiday but still.. We do live in the year 2013.. You can get internet to your room but it was WAY too expensive, 20$/day or something like that.. Staff was very helpful and the cleaners were always smiling and made a really good job! We liked the arrangement that sheets and towels were not always changed automatically for sake of saving energy. Pool was small but nice on the roof, seawater though. It was great that when we got to the hotel after spending 22 hours on airplanes and airports we could use the shower at the gym/pool area even it was way too early to check-in yet. Breakfast buffet (we had continental 21$ sometimes, full buffet was 30$) was good but pretty overpriced but well, it's a hotel.. :) We liked our stay very much and do recommend the hotel to everyone! Beautiful park right next to the hotel, little walk to Edgecliff or Kings Cross trainstations, bus to Bondi also goes right next to the hotel.
