Shopping tip: Short walk from hotel

Shop at supermarket (e.g. Woolworth's at Town Hall) not at convenience stores nearby, for better choice and value.

Great location!

The hotel is located a short walk from busy George Street and is ideal for those looking to be close to the city and those who may be travelling on a budget. Landmarks close by include Darling Harbour, Chinatown, the Town Hall and all major shops. While the room was a little small, it did include a kitchen area with all plates and cutlery, sink, microwave and a fridge. The bed was comfortable with little outside noise heard. The TV offering included most major digital channels and Fox Sports.

Great value for the location

I found the staff to be friendly and helpful, the room to be spacious and clean, and the location to be exceptional - minutes to Central Station or Museum Station.

A transportation card is available that works on all buses, ferries, and trains (city and the grey lines). It's worth the investment if you plan to explore much of the city!

Travelodge is a good hotel. No complaints here. The room was comfortable. The location is close to the train, shopping, and met my needs. The hotel staff was always ready to answer questions.

Good Value

Good staff (Very friendly, helpful). Decent room. Terrific location for Sydney. It's a 3-star hotel, but I gave it 4 stars because of the staff, microwave oven, and location. Does not have a gym, but there are pay facilities (i.e. Fitness First) very near. Walked everywhere from there: Sydney Tower, Circular Quay with ferry to Taronga Zoo, Museum, Darling Harbour with IMAX, Wildlife Park and Aquarium, Hyde Park, shopping and dining (including being out past 1:30 AM). Be sure to check out the museum off College Street.

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

Buy groceries (Cereal, milk, bread, fruits, etc.) and Laundry soap at Cole's and stock fridge & use plastic bags for clothes. Use Microwave oven and fridge to save on Breakfast and/or lunch. Use laundry facilities on premises. Hotel Breakfast too expensive.

Layover in Sydney

The hotel is a very good buy for the money. The hotel was fully booked, so we were not able to check in early, having taken the red-eye from Perth to Sydney.
