Travelodge Sydney

This was my first trip to Sydney, and I have to say I had an amazing time. What made it even more amazing, though, was knowing I saved money by staying at this Travelodge on Wentworth Avenue and Goulbourn St. I was able to reserve my room for a reasonable $100 (ish) a night. The room was quite spacious and the twin beds were pushed together to create a king. The workers at the front desk were very helpful and gave great advice for traveling around. A great proximity to Elizabeth Street free shuttle to Circular Quay and other notable locations around Sydney.

I have no complaints about the hotel except the carpet had something suspect on it and there was a bit of mould (probably only noticable to females) on the shower tiles. The hotel is basic. You can hear voices in the hall but not much more than anywhere else. I would stay there again.

A very tidy hotel in an excellent position close to Central, the CBD and Oxford Street. Good, basic facilities for a reasonable price.

I had difficulty locating the hotel, walking from Central Station, because of poor signage. Once there, I was, first of all, checked into a room that was already occupied. Having fixed that, the room was clean and tidy, although the soap holder in the shower was loose on the wall, the red button on the hot water tap over the vanity basin was also loose; however, all else was fine - no noise, everything was spotless, a very good buffet breakfast for $18 extra, was good value. Staff were efficient but not over friendly or welcoming.I would stay again.

Great location, clean hotel, but rather tired looking! Took 3 rooms to get one that was suitable, but this was done promptly with a smile. No wifi internet in rooms, a bit disappointing.

Liked the luggage storage facility Very useful for tourists

Good location and price but would have liked a hand towel provided and the beds were very hard. Breakfast was convenient and good value.

It was Ok but second room wasn't ready on time and they promised to ring. After an hour I had to follow them up. Toilet door was locked and we had to get maintenance to unlock. Don't buy breakfast on line. AUD20.00 on the net and only AUD16.00 in the hotel. Air cond was either too hot or too cold. Leaky taps and lights kept dimming and then would come back on bright. But overall it was OK and would probably stay there again

central location and suited our needs

The room was very clean, the beds were comfortable and the aircon worked well. The location is very convenient, with rail and bus terminals a very short walk away. Although we were not allowed to check in a little early, the hotel allowed us to leave baggage in the secure baggage room while we went sightseeing. They also let us leave our baggage after we had checked out, which was great as we had a late flight and didn't have to drag stuff around with us all day. Most of the staff were professional, friendly and courteous. The only downsides were the lack of a bath and a swimming pool. Oh, the security was good too, as you had to use your room card even to use the elevator.
