We booked a double room, but were
We booked a double room, but were given a king room. The bathroom was very nice (sunken bath where you can watch TV from the bathtub, seperate shower, seperate toilet. The room was clean, and attention to detail was superb, something I have learned not to expect in Sydney hotels. Admittedly this is a 5 star hotel, which we got for a 4 star rate. I thoroughly recommend.

from the moment I arrived in the lobby and heard the soft music and saw the smiling faces at reception I thought it was a very good start to what was only a brief stay at this hotel. I had stayed at the Westin in Melbourne some years ago but hadn't had occasion to stay at the Sydney property. Now that my husband and I have moved to the Southern Highlands, we need to stay one night each week in the CBD and it was pure luck that I when I logged onto [website] I found a good rate that we could afford. The bed is indeed heavenly and I was able to have a cup of tea, reclining against such soft pillows and read the morning's paper - a luxury I haven't had for such a long time. It really set a happy tone for my weekend.

I have stayed at the Westin before - it was fantastic. The parking is very expensive though. I think it should be either free or have a much high discount. It cost us $56 for 2 cards so a total of $112.00 in total just for parking.

An impressive and beautiful hotel,
An impressive and beautiful hotel, worth the name of Westin. Service is out of this world and the heritage post office area of the lobby is outstanding. Just be aware that the valet parking is expensive at $.56.00 per night.

pool poor compared to Quay west
pool poor compared to Quay west the rocks + sheraton on the park . loaction you have to go thru thethunderous areobics class/music too loud esp. when u have just come from a peacful area and the doofing carries down the staircase- not relaxing- and I have done areobics for 25 yrs .steam room lovely finding a room we had to help another guest- maybe a mini map/directions can be offered to guests
