Reasonably-priced four-star hotel in downtown Sydney
After almost 50 years, the Menzies still retains charm at its four-star location in downtown Sydney. Excellent position with Darling
Excellent position with Darling Harbour and Circular Quay within walking distance. Catching the train from the airport takes you to the front door at Wynyard station. Clean hotel, rooms could be warmer during winter.

Employees are nice & Location is FAB!
When we arrived the employees all came out of there way to great us. Our hotel room was clearly in the "older section" as we had to pass the first set of elevators & go up the back ones. Beds were very hard & squeaky Bathroom was really outdated & rather ugly (kinda looked dirty, although it wasn't, because it was so old) Fantastic location! Shopping, dining, pubs, The Rocks, Circular Quay, Darling Harbour all within walking distance.

Good location but to cheap for the price
Room was small. No easy chair. Took 1/2 hour and second phone call to get a bucket of ice. TV was Small. Found food in hotel extremly expensive. Had just stayed in Christchurch at the Crown Plazza for about the same cost and had everything.

As usual, my wife and I enjoyed
As usual, my wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Menzies immensely. Service in all of the areas that we dealt with were superb. We await our next stay with great anticipation.

The stay at the Menzies was good.
The stay at the Menzies was good. I thought the parking was a litte expensive after looking up other hotel parking it seems the average price is $25 and the longer you stay the price goes down. The price for a meal to your room also seems a little overboard, it seems that they don't want to go to the trouble for room service meals. Don't get me wrong we didn't need the food but just looking at the prices gave me a bit of a shock.

Nice hotel to stay at. Location is great for visiting the rocks and the cbd. Did not appreciate having to queue up to book in, 30 minutes standing in a line!!! not good. Outside of that good hotel

The hotel is in a fantastic location.
The hotel is in a fantastic location. With a train station directly across the road. Walking distance to both Cirular Quay and Darlingharbour. The rooms are not spacious but well equipped for what is needed. The staff were friendly.

The location is fantastic, with
The location is fantastic, with the Wynyard train station, across the road, and Martin Place around the corner, and the Queen Vic Building only 5 minute walk away, and Darling Harbour, a 10 minute walk. The staff are fantastic, and we enjoyed the swimming pool, and enjoyed winding down at the piano bar. All in all a pleasant stay.
