Great Location in the center of downtown
The hotel has all that we required for our stay. The location was an easy walk to the Rocks, Darling, Oxford area and shopping. It is located above a Meyer dept store and has a very limited street level footprint so it is easy to miss upon arrival.

Our room was clean and very spacious.
Our room was clean and very spacious. Beds were extremely comfortable - I could sleep in the whole day! Staff were very helpful and pleasant in general. The Swissotel is located in an excellent part of the city - shopping malls, convenience stores, train/monorail stations were at the doorstep or just round the corner. Several bus services ply the area to The Rocks, Bondi, Oxford/Paddington, Surry Hills etc. Our room was just lacking in some minor touches though. Two bottles of water each day would have been great. Free wifi would have been a bonus!...although I would expect most big hotels nowadays to provide this service either free or at a nominal fee - A$24.95 for 24 hrs is a little steep!) That said, overall, I enjoyed my stay. Thank you!

We really enjoyed our short stay
We really enjoyed our short stay with the swissotel. However the only down fall is the price of the rooms per night. If it was a standard price we could have stayed longer. The rooms started at $299. A good price would be $200. The staff were fantastic, location just a short stroll to darling harbour and the rocks. fun times

The location of this hotel is very convenient if you want to be around the CBD, Darling Harbour and Circular Quay. Although slightly pricier than the other hotels we've statyed in Sydney, the room was definitely fancier.

It was nice enough without being
It was nice enough without being a 5 star hotel. The Nespresso machine was a lovely touch and the facilities were good without being great. Having stayed in a 4 and 1/2 star the week before in Melbourne, I found the Swissotel to lack vertain elements that make it an amazing hotel. That being said, the location is sublime and one spends very little time at the hotel anyway... it comes highly recommended for its location and general appeal - just don't consider the spa/swimming pool.
