Low-cost boutique hotel in trendy Potts Point
For travelers looking to save cash and sleep in one of the hip Sydney fringe villages, the Springfield Lodge offers understated guest rooms with a dash of boutique style. Guests walk to the Botanic Gardens, museums even Sydney Harbour, then peruse the cafes and shops in the alleyways of Potts Point. The hotel features cheerful rooms and a kitchen where guests can prepare meals. Travelers to Sydney will be hard pressed to find an accommodation as stylish as Springfield Lodge for the price.

For the amount of money we paid
For the amount of money we paid we expected more than what we got. While we where staying there the room was not cleaned just new towels put out. I've stayed in alot of places of different ranges in my travels this place is not a lodge or hotel it's a flashy backpackers. It also might be nice if it had a location map as i would not have book if i new it was that close to the main strip. Every disappointing never and will not be staying there ever again.

DISAPPOINTED TIRED
greatest disappointment
Imagine finding out that without any warning, we ended up in an undesirable area.... When someone pays over $100 a night and presumably stays in a 3*** hotel, the expectation is that we are staying in a decent hotel! Next time, I will do my own independent research!!

Decent building, satisfactory location
Room was small for 2 people, however building is nice and clean- well kept. Location is a little bit sketchy, in Kings Cross which is known for their nightlife, overall felt pretty safe when walking back from train station. Close to underground train station to get to Darling Harbour/Circular Quay... would be 45 min walk to get to these places. Decent price. About 3/5 stars mostly due to location, location didn't ruin our trip, we still had a great time in Sydney

Disappointed in this hotel. Very
Disappointed in this hotel. Very noisy. Could hear /feel people walking around in room above. Outside corridor very busy. Even cleaners and equipment were louder because of lack of sound insulation. It was not till about 2am when things seemed to quieten down. For the price, it wasn't worth it. I may have well have been in a backpacker hostel.

We booked two rooms - 1 double
We booked two rooms - 1 double and 1 single and were charged the same price for each room, however the single room was half a normal size. During the 4 days there were no rooms cleaned, no beds made, no soap or tea/coffee replaced. They did place new fresh towels on the unmade beds and walked out.

A great hotel, friendly staff, extremely clean and modern looking rooms!! Id def book again and would reccomend to anyone looking for a great priced hotel:) 4+

The Hotels bar and restaurent serves great breakfast through to dinner, surrounded by pubs and clubs and Kings cross station is 5oo metres down the road, so handy to hopon to down town sydney, harbours etc and 3 stops away is Bondi and a huge shopping centre:)

Good cheap boutique hotel
This was very nice for the price I paid. For the person who said he has stayed in better for less, he did not in Sydney. Just because you can stay in a very upscale hotel for under $100 in Detroit doesn't correlate to Sydney. In between my two stays at the Springfield Lodge I stayed in a Hostel for about the same price. Here you get all the hotel things you expect, private bathroom, a TV with cable, housekeeping etc.. Good value for Sydney.

Excellent choice
The hotel is very well localted, close to a metro (subway) station, and in a very cozy neighborhood. Although it's close to what's becoming the red light district, you don't have to walk that way, and even if you do, it's not dangerous at all. It doesn't have any ammenities...it's a Bed and Breakfast, but the staff are very nice and helpful. The hotel also has a very good restaurant.

Great location and price close
Great location and price close to every thing in the Cross. Train station is a 1 minute walk. Room was small but had a king size bed in it. Ther was no air con in our room
