Opulence meets comfort at this Hyde Park gem
Sheraton on the Park is a stately grand dame on the edge of Hyde Park showcasing luxurious rooms and sophisticated interiors for discriminating travelers. I have moved from several hotels in the last 2 weeks around AU for work. My normal stay is around 2 days per hotel on average. This hotel was outstanding. it was a clean as you can ask for and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is the best. Across the street from the park and events. St Marys Chuch is also across the street and it a must see for photographers. Pubs are nearby as well as many nice eateries.. You can find high end resturants as well as fast food. A perfect place to stay.

Short walk from hotel
if you step out the back of the hotel on castlereagh (i think) turn right and there is a great value pub that offers $6 icy cold beer. if you turn to the left up 1 block there is another local pub that gets very busy due to locals hangout. quite fun as well.

My husband & I recently celebrated
My husband & I recently celebrated our wedding anniverasary at this hotel & loved our stay.The staff were very courteous & friendly.The rooms were beautifully maintained ,although small.However, the bathroom was big with a full sized bath& elegant fixtures.We also enjoyed the bar & restaurant.A great stay & really close toshops & restaurants.

Truly 1st rate hotel. Staff so
Truly 1st rate hotel. Staff so helpful & professional, starting with the girl (Vivi) at front desk. The ONLY drawback is the breakfast experience. Much too crowded and busy. The guest tables were placed too close to the food area, further exacerbating congestion. Egg bar queue too slow. I waited at what I believed was the logical back of the queue. Then everyone after me started waiting in a different position and I had to concede about 5 positions in the queue because of this. NOT HAPPY! There need to be signs to indicate EXACTLY where stand and in which direction the queue should move for omelettes/eggs etc. Despite all this, I'm definitely staying here again. But not through hotelclub. Twice now, I've had to cancel within a few days and their policy goes something like this: "Cancel within 4 days & you lose the lot". TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE! I'm gradually phasing out my use of hotelclub. Sorry, not happy. Booking directly is the same price or less, and no advance payment either.

Room is clean and nice, but service
Room is clean and nice, but service is poor. When asked for a pair of slippers, it took them more than half an hour to deliver to my room. The front desk staff speaked with an arrogant manner. The service is not up to five star hotel's expectation.

Everything a 5 star hotel should be and remains one of the hotels of choice in Sydney. Breakfast is amazing, rooms are excellent, service brilliant,rates reasonable. What else do you want?

Pity it was only an overnight
Pity it was only an overnight stay, great deal with [this website] including parking & breakfast. Great CBD position close to Circular Quay where we walked to dinner. NSW Food & Wine show opposite in Hyde Park, great. We will definitely return.
