Fantastic hotel, quiet with breathtaking views

This hotel is so comfortable and relaxing, with large rooms, gorgeous bathroom and fantastic staff. The indoor heated pool, large gym , spa and sauna are fantastic after a day of sight seeing. Fabulous location and so easy and enjoyable to explore Sydney on foot from this hotel. The views of the opera house and harbour were spectacular from the bedroom , and the Blu Bar on the 36th floor is an absolute must do. Fantastic cocktails and breathtaking views. Love this hotel.

Relaxing and super comfortable

We stayed at the executive opera house view room, at level 24, it was exactly as pictured. Great bathroom, big and bright, with fantastic water temperature and pressure. We still miss the bed and pillows... The location is good for a relaxing getaway, but is still slightly distant from city center.

The Shangri la has to be one of the best located hotels in Sydney. We have stayed before and will definately stay again. Very comfortable and spacious room, fantastic restaurants and bars nearby & the best bar in Sydney on the 36th floor of the hotel overlooking the harbour bridge. Outstanding.

Lovely views

Room had lovel views but unfortunately the room smelled of stale smoke. We advised staff and they were obliging in that they put an odour vaporiser in the room while we were out and offered to move us if we weren't happy. It did help but so long as we kept the bathroom closed off as the smell was terrible in there. Bit disappointing for the money paid for the room. Otherwise good. Good in room breakfast delivered which initially seemed expensive but when it arrived you could see the value in it.

The staff, particularly at the Altitude Restaurant , went out of their way to accommodate my 87 year old Mum's dietary requirements and treated us like royalty! A very enjoyable stay.
