Overall hotel was let down by
Overall hotel was let down by three things. No sky TV No inroom wireless internet Restaurant Menu - very uninteresting and not adverised as room service.

Impeccably clean, modern, welcoming
Impeccably clean, modern, welcoming hotel in an ideal position - had two stays of two and five days and would highly recommend this hotel. When next in Sydney it would be my first choice - across the road from Central station, walking distance to Darling Harbour, Paddy's market, Chinatown, Circular Quay and all major shopping areas. Also, I will be booking through Hotel Club for all accommodation etc. We generally go away once a year and in future will use your service which was handled in a positive, professional no hassles manner.

Marque - the amount of paperwork
Marque - the amount of paperwork and ID required at check-in made me feel like a criminal. This hotel must have a BIG problem with party animals trashing rooms. Shame, because other than that it was clean, well-appointed and centrally located. Oh, take your ear plugs though - there is heaps of road noise, even on the upper floors.

The location of the hotel within
The location of the hotel within a three or four minute walk of Central Rail station makes it very convenient for anyone needing to catch an early morning train (such as 6am or 7am XPT or airport). Room was clean, spacious and comfortable; bar fridge prices very reasonable. I can't say the restaurant and bar facilities were particularly outstanding (seemed to be closed), but many bars and restaurants nearby. Internet wireless/broadband available but not free. The hotel room was surprisingly quiet given its location on a busy road. My only serious complaint is with the alarm clock radio, a supermodern affair that defied all my efforts to set an alarm. Management should provide instructions. The remote control for the TV was equally mystifying, until I realised it was actually the telephone. Guests really ought not to be challenged in this way. Keep it simple. I will stay here again when I have to catch an early morning train. But I want instructions for the alarm clock radio
