Charming European style in the center of Sydney’s business district

Pensione Hotel offers a charming home base for travelers wanting to stay in the middle of the action. This hotel delivers European style amidst the buzz of Sydney's Chinatown, Paddy's Market, as well as the theater and entertainment district. Though housed in a Heritage-listed building, the hotel's recently upgraded interiors feature modern furnishings and comfortable amenities. The helpful staff, family friendly rooms and guest lounge with kitchenette delivers comfort after a day exploring the city.

Lift out of service for the two

Lift out of service for the two days. On the first floor thankfully. Noise from disco/bar below was distracting the first night. Close to China town - good. I felt that the hotel was comfortable and adequate for my needs. I would stay there again for short trips to Sydney only.

Ideal location in Sydney room

Ideal location in Sydney room comfortable but a bit small, dishes, glasses and cups, were not washed by the hotel we had to do them which is not good. No wine glasses which must be attended to. We had front room facing George Street and no worrys from road noise as the room was quiet.

Pensione Hotel Sydney is a hotel

Pensione Hotel Sydney is a hotel with very good location central to shops and restaurants and conference facilities. Good value for money except the building of the hotel is old and space outside the room is not attractive. I rate this hotel 3.5..1/2 star. Thanks

Centrally located for city ent

Centrally located for city entertainments.Staff were pleasant,had upgraded our booking.Room small but adequate for one night stay.Bathroom excellent.Our room was in quiet area of hotel,few back packers arrived reasonably late but no noise problems. As a pensioner couple(mid 70's) we felt secure both in our room and hotel generally.Would recommend for short,say 1-3 day,stay.

The hotel was perfect for spending

The hotel was perfect for spending time in the city and gaining access to public transport to other suburbs and to transport to and from the city itself. Staff were efficient and helpful and shared local knowledge which helped with our choices during our stay.

I had a room (116) on the first

I had a room (116) on the first floor. Somehow the room had smoke and noise which I think came from the hotel public space on the floor below. Apart from this the amenties and location were fine.
