Friendly business and leisure hotel near the airport and parks
Repeat business and leisure travelers passing through Sydney often make the Mercure Sydney Airport their home base. Located a five-minute shuttle ride from the airport and close to parks, a golf course and a beach, short stay travelers find much to appreciate at the Mercure. The favored Seasons Restaurant draws rave reviews from locals and visitors. The hotel features tennis and squash courts and newly refurbished guest rooms. A short train ride will take guests to Sydney's central business district and local attractions.

Very dated decor in an old hotel.
Very dated decor in an old hotel. The hotel ad was quite misleading in this regard. I can only presume the price reflects the proximity to the airport as much better value for money hotels for less money in the CBD.

we have stayed at this hotel twice
we have stayed at this hotel twice and on both occasions there has been problems with the fridge leaking water and creating a musty smell in the room Brillant otherwise and late check out is wonderful

Very enjoyable stay, rooms are clean and comfortable. Would recommend to either bring own food or eat somewhere else as breakfast and room service lunch was not worth the cost. Everything else was great. Room service was very quick and staff are very friendly and helpful!!

The standard of the facilities
The standard of the facilities in the hotel was OK but the hotel itself is in an area where there is no supermarket except for a very inadequate 7-11, and few healthy eating places. (The hotel breakfast was good though.)

Many events in Sydney so prices
Many events in Sydney so prices were jacked up. Had to pay $300 on one night of the stay, normall it's below $200, so not happy!

Airport convenience
This hotel was pleasant, quiet, clean and service was great. Location close to the airport is very convenient, but the hotel does not have a shuttle. Neighborhood had no shops and is on major highway, so we were captive to the hotel & its restaurant.

Could not find [website] booking
Could not find [website] booking when we arrived but staff very pleasant. Think we were upgraded. No problem parking out on street but was Sat/Sun. TV didn't work on Mon. morning, asked to unplug cable, very difficult when behind heavy TV cabinet! Staff offered to come up but we were showering getting dressed. Great for airport. ONLY gripe is that Accor charge you for using a Credit Card to pay your bill!!

Mercure Hotel Sydney Airport
The hotel was great. The shuttle service they use, not so great. It took 45 minutes to be picked up from the airport, maybe that's normal for Sydney, don't know.

I found the hotel food quite expensive. It may be normal for Sydney, but I am not used to paying $19.00 for a continental breakfast.

Great wine!
I just wanted to stay close to the airport before flying out. Dinner was good, and the wine was very good quality compared to some of the higher priced restaurants I went to in Sydney. In the morning I actually had a nice stress-free walk to the airport in 20 minutes.
