Friendly business and leisure hotel near the airport and parks
Repeat business and leisure travelers passing through Sydney often make the Mercure Sydney Airport their home base. Located a five-minute shuttle ride from the airport and close to parks, a golf course and a beach, short stay travelers find much to appreciate at the Mercure. The favored Seasons Restaurant draws rave reviews from locals and visitors. The hotel features tennis and squash courts and newly refurbished guest rooms. The location of this Hotel suits
The location of this Hotel suits our needs for a short term stay. If you need to it is only a 10 minute walk from the International Terminal at Sydney Airport. A very nice establishment. Excellent Dining, very friendly staff very clean and tidy.

Hotel fantastic proximity to international terminal, decor a bit tired and dated. A few of the lights in my room weren't working so dim for reading... But front desk and room service prompt. Great transfers via shuttle to airport at reasonable cost. Got a good deal so price good. Would probably stay again. Jenny

Very close to airport, very clean
Nice hotel, very clean room. only gripe I have is the lack of power outlets near the bed, but it seems all hotels in Australia are like that. Oh, and everything in Australia is insanely expensive for no real reason. Factor that in when you travel.

Short drive from hotel
The hotel shuttle to/from airport is around 7 AUD. A taxi will cost around 10 AUD. If you have more than 1 person heading to airport, or if you don't want to be crammed into a shuttle, just get a taxi.

Under Desparate Need of Renovation
We spent our last evening close to the Sydney airport. The hotel is close to the international terminal, but the neighborhood is not good for walking around at night. The hotel is currently under renovation which it desperately needs. Our room was an adequate size, but in poor condition. It smelled musty, the walls, carpet, and bathroom were dirty. The room was very noisy and we heard many sounds from the hallway and the renovations on the floor above ours. If we knew before what we do now, we would have stayed somewhere else.

Mercure is a decent hotel, however
Mercure is a decent hotel, however the location is just depressing. There is nothing close by for entertainment, food etc etc. Room looked extremely clean which was really nice to see. Reception staff were very helpful and nice, however a certain staff member in the hotel bar was extremely unhelpful, totally ignored me and didnt want to help, which ultimately let the overall service level down. Only stayed here because of an early flight, would not repeat.

Servicing was slack. First day room wasn't serviced till after 4pm. Second day only a basic service, toilet rolls left empty.
