The hotel was decent. The location could not have been better for our trip. This Holiday Inn is located in the less frenetic part of Sydney the historical Rocks. It is also a walk across the street to The Quay and a quick few blocks to the Sydney
Harbor Bridge. A real plus is the rooftop pool and patio giving views of the city. Bed was comfortable. Rooms seemed to have had fresh paint. HVAC for room could be updated.
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Short walk from hotel
Try Vintage Cafe back through Nurses Lane. Great Tapas.
The location was ideal, right next to Harbour bridge and Circular Quay for picking up ferry's, hop on & off city tour stop just across the road and train station 5 minutes walk. Hotel itself is a little tired and room fairly small but had
everything we needed and did not spend much time in it as so much to see in Sydney so did not think it mattered that much. Breakfast very good a great buffet selection.
Were able to walk downtown, close to Opera house and bridge, several good eating establishments.
Room in bad location even though we made reservations back in March. Had to walk to far to get to elevator. Bathroom wall dirty. Great hotel for
closeness but would not recommend unless clients get a lot better room location than the alley. Garbage trucks two mornings, pressure washing of alley one morning, 4:30am, noise from setting up arts and crafts show on Saturday.
No information on hotel in room, did not know about dining, etc.
