Nice place to stay but no lift (elevator)

Good value for a fantastic downtown location that is in walking distance to everything! Room is a bit small, not very good views out of the tiny windows and if you plan to bring lots of luggage there is NO lift (elevator for us Americans). Fun little place to stay if you have a bunch of people since they have a shared kitchen and living room on the 3rd and 4th floors. Rooms are not very sound proof as I could clearly hear people coming and going in rooms close to mine. Free internet access included in room fee.

Although Hotel Club sent me an

Although Hotel Club sent me an email confirming my booking, when I got to the City Lodge Hotel, they had not received my booking. When they rang the people at Hotel Club, the Hotel Club people hang up on them and offered absolutely no assistance to me, the cutomer who had booked through them! Instead, City Lodge Hotel helped me.

Very good location close to Wynyard

Very good location close to Wynyard railway station. Eventhough it was a small room it was very clean and good shower facilities. good common room area. Some noise from the street but I think very good price considering the location and the hotel room.

Friendly staff but room was very

Friendly staff but room was very tight, beds too short if youre over 6 foot and if you want privacy in the bathroom forget it !

only problem for me was the 2

only problem for me was the 2 flights of stairs to get to reception, very difficult with a 20K case and bad knees.

Great position near the ferry

Great position near the ferry quays and very central, despite this it didnt suffer much traffic noise. No lift and up a couple of flights from the street and no car parking. Good staff and free laundry room. Ideal for a couple of days in Sydney if you can climb a few stairs, train station close by.

No lift for the hotel (reception

No lift for the hotel (reception is at 1st floor, and rooms at higher floors);all chinese receptionists very friendly [we received as a very appreciated present for the NYE a bottle of sparkling wine!]and helpful; room cleaning superficial (under my bed I found something pertaining to very previous guests...) but the location is really GORGIOUS! in the very center of the CBD, so that in a few minutes walk you can reach either Circular Quay or Darling Harbour. For this issue the hotel devotes the stay.

Room a bit on the small side,

Room a bit on the small side, but good as I was on my own. Clean and new bathroom, room safe, plasma TV with Foxtel and other HDi channels. Only small mention is there are no individual controls for the A/C, and the A/C did not work as well as normal hotel ones. Staff very friendly and helpful with any requests I had. Allowed me to leave bag in Reception as I had a late flight out, plus managed to lend me a phone charger as I had forgot mine. Would definitley stay there again.
