Worst place. Will never go again.
The room was way below average and the A/C unit makes a loud noise, many things were wrong. Unfriendly cleaning staff and front desk has no information about any thing that a traveller may need. Terrible mistake of selecting this place. Prior reviews was a big part on my decision and so I am writing this for future customers not to spend even one minute in thinking about this hotel. There is not one thing that is good. I am not going to list everthing that was wrong since it will be a very long list.

Sightseeing tip:
In Hotel
AAT Kings company offers tours to Canberra, wild life tour and serene Tranquilty of Australia. We went on two tours and is well worth the money and they pick up and drop off from this hotel so it is convenient. There is a LAVAZZA coffee place one and half blocks away has good food to suite American taste but may not have any pancakes/waffles. They are open only from 7 am to 5 pm on monday to fridays. Kind of weird when you are vacationing, but good food.

In poor shape
I would never stay at this hotel again. The beds are worn out, There are only 4 tv stations. They charge you for everything, and there is not a airport shuttle.

Great Location
We stayed at the Aspire in Dec. 2010 for 2, pre-cruise nights. This hotel is a 5 minute walk to Paddy's Market and to a monorail station. It is within walking distance of Darling Harbour. The Aspire does not have free WIFI but, McDonalds, that does offer free wireless access is a short walk away across from Paddy's Market. The Aspire front desk personnel were very accomodating and polite. The room had a fridge.

excellent location for the price
We stayed 3 nights in Sydney and this hotel was excellent to explore the city, beaches and Blue mountain(just take an easy train). The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was large and well equipped, bed made but not change bed sheet daily. Overall, the hotel is in an excellent location with low cost. Minutes away from interesting areas, and 15 minutes from Central Station.

Nice visit - tough to drive into
We stayed for a walk-around and relieve jet-lag and the area was easy to walk.

excellent value for the price
We stayed 5 nights in Sydney and this hotel was an excellent base to explore the city and beaches. It is close to a metro station. It is a 12 minute walk to Darwin harbour. Dining,imax,ferry,aquarium,wildlife world,maritime and powerhouse museum,chinese garden of friendship,paddy's market are all in walking distance.We used the ferry,metro,train,tram,bus,taxi for all other Sydney sights. It is a wonderful city to visit. The hotel has also long term residents. Bus tours wil pick you up from here. The airport shuttle is $12 aus,enjoy we did.

Good Location
The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was large and well equipped but the bathroom was poorly cleaned. The doors to the rooms creaked and squeaked when people went in or out. The sheets and towels were decent. It is within walking distance to Paddy's Market, and Darling Harbour.
