The former Aspen Hotel has been rebranded as the Aspire Hotel Sydney. Simple interiors deemed as retro by insiders offer a comfortable stay with friendly service. The hotel was well placed and,
The hotel was well placed and, for the price, very reasonable. However, a couple of issues - the toilet dripped and needed fixing - a maintenance card was completed but nothing done during my stay - there was no option for keeping towels, etc - I was only there a few days, so an 'eco' option would have been appropriate Having said this, I would definitely stay ther again if the price was right

Well located hotel in quiet street
Well located hotel in quiet street close to Darling Harbour. Slightly old fashioned feel which included huge bedrooms with lots of space. Furniture in rooms slightly shabby but very clean and great to have own balcony and fresh air to bedrooms. Staff were most helpful, cheerful and competent. Excellent value for money.

Hotel was lovely - well-priced
Hotel was lovely - well-priced and very close to Chinatown. Brekkie was a little disappointing - hot food was cold but quite cheap..

In Sydney the location of the
In Sydney the location of the hotel is exellent, it's clean, it is very quiet and very close to everything. Reception is very polite, and I really enjoyed my stay.

We often pop up to Sydney to see
We often pop up to Sydney to see a show & dine out & usually stay at Star City or a Novotel. From now on we are planning to stay here because, while it lacks the facilities & glamour of the others, the location & value for money is unbeatable, and, being an ex-Mercure, the rooms are a good size. Service from all staff was extremely friendly & helpful from start to finish

It suits as a budget hotel for
It suits as a budget hotel for the price. I was a little disappointed that there wasn't any room service (meals) but the takeaway that I ordered from the booklet supplied by the hotel was very nice. Although it did take about an hour to get there. But all in all I was satisfied for the price.
