right on the beach
This hotel is a great value, but you get what you pay for. It does not have the newest rooms or amenities, but it is a perfect location to relax on the beach. We literally walked directly from our room onto a beatiful white sand beach. Pros: -perfect beachfront location -friendly staff -good dinner options Cons: -no top-shelf liquor -limited breakfast and lunch options

Amazing!
I was skeptical about going to a three star, but based on reviews its the best vacation Ive ever had. I even bought a time share with the same affiliations. The rooms are alittle small, but who cares when you dont spend any time in them. You step out of your room and you are pretty much on the beach. This beach is also a better beach then where the high rises are. If you are looking for something less commercialized, then this is your place. Thumbs up!

An awesome week at the Tamarijn Aruba
We visited Aruba for our 1 year anniversary, staying at the Tamarijn from 11/10/12 - 11/17/12. We were very pleased with every aspect of the Tamarijn, from our room on the beach, the location of the resort, the awesome restaurants available to us, and very friendly staff. Sharing all inclusive features with the Divi next door was just a bonus, and we enjoyed our anniversary dinner at the Red Parrot. The buffets were very good too. The beaches are awesome, and not crowded at all. We visited downtown a couple times, uptown (high rise area) a couple times, and did the ABC Jeep Tour (highly recommend!!!), and each time we returned to the Tamarijn at the end of the day we were so pleased we were staying there. We will return... and we will stay at the Tamarijn!

Kick back, relax and enjoy!
If you are looking for a relaxing vacation then this is your place to go. Hotel is very nice. It is all inclusive however tips are appreciated. Hotel offers shuttle service between the two properties. All the restaurants are 5 star. Hotel staff goes out of their way to make sure you are treated right. We stayed in the ocean front rooms and I would highly recommend them. Open your door and you are 5 steps away from the beach and just a few more to the bar. There are thatched umbrellas all along the beach so you can take shade from the sun when you need to. Great place to relax, unwind, read a book and enjoy. The resort also has included kayaking, windsurfing (free lessons!), snorkeling, volley ball and so much more. They have an event planned for each hour but you do what you want, when you want to. Definitely recommend. Was worth the money!

Good (not great) all-inclusive package
Hotel is an older, low-rise, fairly well-maintained complex, but (in contrast to some of hte "fancier" hi-rises) is located right on the beach (perfect!), with minimal walks to associated activities (and readily available shuttle bus if you wish). Not lavishly appointed, but acceptably comfortable rooms. Food options extremely plentiful and varied; food quality good, but not great. Overall, a good value for the money.

Loved it!!
I couldn't ask for more at the Tamarijn. The best part for me was how close the beach was to the rooms. The restaurants are good (not spectacular but good enough). I liked the Red Parrot and Paparrazi Restaurants.

Second visit!
We loved the Tamarijn so much last year we began planning our trip back the day that we left. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, the beach and surrounding grounds are amazing. Every year we meet some of the most wonderful people staying there and enjoy their company at the pools. The restaurants have a wonderful selection and the buffets also have a great variety. I can't say enough good things about the Tamarijn and Divi.

Instead of expensive tours or Jeep rentals. Rent a regular car and take a drive around the island to see some of the local sights.

Fantastic getaway
The hotel was wonderful, the view from my room was exceptional. A great relaxing vacation. The hotel needs some more entertainment like maybe more music so people can dance. I found the nights lacked stuff to do. I would definitely recommend the Tamarijn to my friends and family. I would definetly go back!!
