Great Place

Great location for a hotel, which was well worth it considering it was an all-inclusive. The one weird issue was the restaurants only being open certain days and not all times.

Fabulous all-inclusive!!

Beautiful rooms. Great location, close to airport and can walk around town to many restaurants/bars/shops. Lots of restaurant and bar choices on site also. I guess because we were there during the off-season there weren't as many open as usual, but there were still many options for dinner (only 1 place for bfast and lunch). Also, it was the "rainy season" but it only rained a couple times and for just a few minutes. The rest of the time was beautiful and 80-90 degrees. The beach is beautiful and they have a beach bar, palapas and rafts for all to use. Great vaca!!!!!

Nice but...

This is my 3rd time coming here and it seems like it slips a little every year. There could be a few improvements... like stocking the mini bar every day, not just every three days. Also, the cleaning staff could step up their skills. However, I will admit to loving the beach & there are plenty of places to shop in the area.

Good Price for What You Get

Don't expect luxury, but average, adequate accommodations for the price. The restaurants were just average also and kind of hard to make a reservation for. They are a nice break from the buffet.

Great location, but the hotel needs some serious work

Soon after seeing the lobby and the room (deluxe accommodations) as well as learning that the internet was $20 US per day, I was on the phone trying to book a different hotel. The room smelled like mold and was musty. I've stayed at several hotels on the coast and am familiar with the humidity and smells that can come with being on the beach, but this room smelled disgusting and was quite small. We were shown a room with a different view but didn't take it as it had the same musty smell and was the same size. Just as I was about to change our hotel for the second time, the staff upgraded us to the jacuzzi suite which was nothing special but thankfully did not smell and was bigger and airy. The common areas of the hotel are standard, and the pool is ok. There is a night club at the hotel but there were rarely people there. There aren't any chairs at the beach bar and the pool bar was packed with people every time we tried to go. The food is really bad. We saw canned pineapple at breakfast and received a caesar salad made with iceberg lettuce one night at a restaurant. The entrees were nothing special and kind of reminded me of really bad buffet food. We didn't enjoy any of the restaurants at the hotel for dinner so ended up eating out most nights. I hate to say this, and I wish there was a saving grace here, but all in all this is the worst all inclusive resort I have stayed at and I'd advise staying at one of the non-all inclusive resorts. The good part of this hotel is that it's in a prime location; the public beach along the high rise hotel district is gorgeous. Some of the staff was very friendly and helpful.

winter getaway

I needed maintenance 3 times for light bulbs, broken TV remote, and broken safe. Doesn't someone check this stuff? I just had a long day of travel...it shouldn't be my job to troubleshoot the accommodations. Also, I was there 2 years ago, and well the place is getting shabby...broken/missing ice machine, peeling paint on walls, broken lounge chairs' leaking windows, broken slot machines, damaged sliding doors in my room. They seem to be letting the place go, I'm not sure that I would return. And the food was boring...same stuff every day in the buffet and almost impossible to get restaurant reservations.
