My review of Renaissance Aruba Resort and Casino

We just had a very pleasant experience. Everyone was nice at the hotel and in the surrounding area. I am female and traveled with a female friend and we felt extremely safe in the hotel and the town. Scuba diving on the Mermaid was great. The staff was great and it is just across the street. I also like the fact that the work out facilities were available at no extra fee.

Greatest hotel ever

The Renaissance Aruba Hotel is the greatest ever. We have stayed there many times, and each has been as wonderful as the last. The staff is very well trained, and very persoanble. We love the room sizes, and have stayed in every category; with each being as good as the other. The restaurant food and staff are terrific, and the bard staff is top notch. That's why we keep going back year after year. It feels like we're going home to good friends.

Nice First Trip to Aruba Hotel

Location is in the middle of Orangejestad and convenient with rental car to all parts of the island. Hotel was undergoing painting in the hallways on our floor and the interior lobby boat shuttle to the private island was not functioning for the first three days of our visit for maintenance. It didn't matter we did not use any of the hotel beach facilities choosing to travel to the better snorkling beaches on the southwest coast. Only disappointment was the first day we were there. The bell man told us that happy hour started at 4:30 and instructed us on getting to the private island. We got out there and the private island bar was the only one on the hotel property which did not honor happy hour prices! Other than that the hotel was nice and the staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the Renaissance Market across the street and found some of the best prices on the island for gifts and souvenirs to take home at that location.

Malmok and Boca Catalina beaches were fantastic places to snorkle from the beach. Plenty of wind surfing nearby too at Palm Beach.

Location, Location, Location

This property is one of the best for LOCATION, the mere fact that premier shopping, restaurants and activities are all nearby is a big plus. With the airport less than 10 miutes away fighting traffic to get to hotel is vitrual non existent. The staff at the Renaissance is very kind and attentive to your every need. The other wonderful part of this hotel is the private island - one does not need to fight for beach space on an over crowded beach. There is more than enough space/room on all of the property to get a restful swing in the hammock on oneside while watching children frolick in the water on the other. We stayed in the Ocean Suites - which i would recommend to anyone who is in love withthe sight and sound of the ocean waking them up everyday.

We recently returned from our

We recently returned from our stay at the Renaisance and I should say that the hotel is generally very good . The rooms are Large and although a little dated are generally very good , they could do with new sofa beds though which had seen better days . The Pool area is really very nice and remains a lovely memory of the view from the balcony . The food was generall OK , but the private islands with free transfer are a great boom shame they are right next to airport but you would never know on the beach side . The remaining impression though is of fantastically friendy helpfull staff . Only real thing missing was an entertainment package which compared to our last trip to Mexico was virtually no existent . The position though for familys is safe and very useful with Cinemas and shops, close by . Would definately go back to Aruba perhaps try a different hotel next time just to see what else they offer .
