The bad

Stay in this hotel one night only. Left the hotel and moved to another one. Very dirty and bad rooms, was not able to swim. On the Manchebo beach you can enjoy the waves, but not possible to swim anytime.

Disappointed

To start with, don't bother sending them e-mails. I did but never got a reply. That should of been the first clue, but I decided to give it a try anyway. When we arrived, I asked guy at the front desk if we can get an upgrade. I did not said, free upgrade, just an upgrade. There were three of us, all adults, so I was interested in 1BR suite. They guy "pretended" he did not understand or did not want to bother, he said, we will give you a room with two beds. The room was nothing like a picture as the picture was taken from the second floor room. It was facing construction and utility building. The room was tiny with two not even full size beds one almost on the top of the other. Huge fan that did not fit in that tiny room was a horrible addition. The worst part was that the room was on the first floor and everyone walking by can see everything unless you keep the glass doors covered with curtains. Bathroom did not have a bath tab, just a shower. We can't use the fridge as it was making horrible noises which would not let us sleep at night. Resort grounds looked nice, clean and had beautiful landscaping. The pool was small and they let an outsides to swim in as well as use their beach chairs (I saw a few times). Security did nothing about that. Beach is large, very windy and sea was rough with big waves which makes it hard to get in or out. The noise from construction was awful and they did not stop even on Sunday! Food was just OK, nothing special. Service was good, we never wait longer than here in US. Bartenders in PeagPega Bar were great, always smile and made excellent drinks. Beer selection was below our expectations though. Waiters at Georgio's were also very nice and service was great. For the money we spent, we can rent a 2BR timeshare unit next door, be on the same beach and eat at the same restaurants. Aruba is not for us. Too windy and the sea is too rough. We can find much better place to visit next time.

Average Hotel, Perfect Location

Relaxing on Eagle Beach at the Manchebo Beach Resort is as close to paradise as you will find anywhere. This hotel has THE BEST LOCATION of any other hotel on the island. Unfortunately, the hotel itself needs some help. 1. The food is average and overpriced. The first day, we ate all our meals at the resort. But there are much better options around, especially at Palm Beach or next door at the Bucuti Beach Resort. 2. The rooms are ok. Our room had all brand new furniture. But the bathroom really needed to be redone: bad lighting, shower was weak, water is inconsistent in temperature, tiling needed to be replaced.

Escape from Reality

Our daughter was married in Aruba and we had a beach ceremony at the hotel. Everything went perfect. The staff are very friendly and service is their #1 priority. The rooms needs some updating in which they are in the process of doing.

Low Key and Pleasant

it was good to get out of the hotel, we did snorkeling, jeep adventure natural pool, and sunset sail. we wish the rooms would have been bigger and more up-to-date. perhaps larger bathrooms with a big bathtub. i liked that the resort was quiet. it was nice to get a way from the craziness of the other tourists; beach was awesome, you can walk both directions for miles.

Excellent Service

I was traveling alone and wanted to stay at a nice, quiet hotel with not too much going on. Manchebo was definitely serene. The staff are extremely friendly and they made me feel at home. I was a bit disappointed with the overall appearance of the place. From the pictures I was expecting just a bit more glam. Also, I had a serious problem with mosquitoes in my room. They kept eating me up.
