Fantastic week with my Mom and best friend!

I love this place! During my first visit to Manchebo 5 years ago I was married there and it was the best week of my life. I just had my 5th stay at Manchebo with my Mom and best friend...hopefully will go back again in a few months with my husband. Manchebo is a wonderful piece of paradise and I can't imagine staying anyplace else...beach, waves and sun are the best...great place to be a beach bum!

All the meals I've had at Manchebo restaurants have been delicious, but if you want to pick up some basics for your room, there's a little market across the parking lot where you can purchase items at OK prices and not have to go to the grocery store that's farther away (ie., beach snacks, milk, yogurt, cereal, butter, rolls, egg or tuna salad, frozen lasagan you can heat in microwave....stuff like that)

ANOTHER GREAT VACATION

THE MANCHEBO BEACH RESORT IS A GREAT LITTLE HOTEL WITH ALL THE AMENITIES OF THE BIG HOTELS. THE BEACH IS FANTASTIC WITHOUT BEING ON TOP OF ONE ANOTHER. THE STAFF IS SECOND TO NONE, TAKING CARE OF ALL OF YOUR NEEDS, ALWAYS SMILING AND SAYING HELLO. I HAVE BEEN GOING THERE FOR YEARS AND WILL CONTINUE DO SO IN THE FUTURE, I LOOK FORWARD TO IT EACH YEAR.

Disappointed

To start with, don't bother sending them e-mails. I did but never got a reply. That should of been the first clue, but I decided to give it a try anyway. When we arrived, I asked guy at the front desk if we can get an upgrade. I did not said, free upgrade, just an upgrade. There were three of us, all adults, so I was interested in 1BR suite. They guy "pretended" he did not understand or did not want to bother, he said, we will give you a room with two beds. The room was nothing like a picture as the picture was taken from the second floor room. It was facing construction and utility building. The room was tiny with two not even full size beds one almost on the top of the other. Huge fan that did not fit in that tiny room was a horrible addition. The worst part was that the room was on the first floor and everyone walking by can see everything unless you keep the glass doors covered with curtains. Bathroom did not have a bath tab, just a shower. We can't use the fridge as it was making horrible noises which would not let us sleep at night. Resort grounds looked nice, clean and had beautiful landscaping. The pool was small and they let an outsides to swim in as well as use their beach chairs (I saw a few times). Security did nothing about that. Beach is large, very windy and sea was rough with big waves which makes it hard to get in or out. The noise from construction was awful and they did not stop even on Sunday! Food was just OK, nothing special. Service was good, we never wait longer than here in US. Bartenders in PeagPega Bar were great, always smile and made excellent drinks. Beer selection was below our expectations though. Waiters at Georgio's were also very nice and service was great. For the money we spent, we can rent a 2BR timeshare unit next door, be on the same beach and eat at the same restaurants. Aruba is not for us. Too windy and the sea is too rough. We can find much better place to visit next time.

Perfect for couples!

We visit Aruba each year and will definitely be staying at the Manchebo Beach Resort again! The Manchebo beach area is perfect if you're looking for more of a relaxing and secluded vacation, rather than being near the high rise hotels. It was pretty much all couples at the resort (I didn't see any kids or families) which made it very quiet and romantic. Everyone that worked at the resort was great and the room was very clean and had a modern, trendy look to it.

Great choice

The hotel location is a short drive from the airport and pretty central to everything we wanted to visit. Our room was directly overlloooking the beach, ground flloor. We ate at both restaurants during our stay. Food was good. We tried a lot of the resttaurants closer to the highrise hotels, a lot of choices from inexpensive to expensive. Had a great week and would definately go back and stay at Manchebo. Staff were so friendly. Used the spa, wish I had used it more during my stay, but next time.

First trip to Aruba

I am so glad me and my girlfriend chose Manchebo Bay as our resort. If you are a couple looking for a relaxing time, with the nicest and largest beachfront on the Island, with warm staff, clean rooms, and good food, then this is the place for you. There are not to many kids, which is a huge plus, and that truly allows you to relax. I would recommend this to anyone and especially all my friends considering Aruba for their next vacation.

Low-Key vacation

The low-rise hotels will give you maximum comfort at the best prices. The Manchebo Beach Resort had everything we were looking forward. Most importantly, the beautiful beach essentially flowed into the property. Great for yoga enthusiasts too.
