Thanksgiving in Aruba

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt. We've travelled to a number of places in the Caribbean and this is one of those that we would come back in the future. The hotel has just been renovated and someone has done an outstanding job designing the new interior. The staff is very attentive, no bad experiences at all. There is no question that it is the best hotel on the island. There are a variety of restaurants at the hotel to choose from. Tennis courts, gym, sauna and steam room are complimentary, which is nice. This place is gay-friendly; I've seen a lot of same sex couples who were having a great time. The one thing we were not crazy about was the fact that I had to get up at 6 am to get in line to reserve an umbrella at the beach "hut". I highly recommend this place to anyone who strives for quality.

Rent a car and tour the island by yourself. It's fairly easy and inexpensive (if there are more than two of you). Must dine at Papiamento and Flying Fishbone.

Pleasant Staff and Great Property

Stayed here in November of 2010 and I was not disappointed. The beach was just steps from my room and never had a problem getting a private hut for a day at the beach unlike other hotels in Aruba. Booking activities with the concierge was a simple matter for scheduling my deep sea fishing and snorkeling dates. I also had the hotel call my rental car company and extend my car rental. Hotel was well staffed and helpful with a smile. [...] from the wait staff was especially pleasant and we enjoyed talking to her every morning at breakfast, she had a great attitude and seemed to be genuinely enjoying people and her work she at the Hyatt. Lastly, great beds after full day of activities.

Despite the rain, we had a wonderful time. All staff were professional and accomidating. I had a headache our first night and no pain medication. A staff member (thank you [...]) drove my husband to the local pharmacy to get me some pain killer. Talk about going above and beyond!! Beautiful grounds, great food. I highly recommend the Hyatt!!!

A trip to remember

The trip from check-in to our departure was awesome!!! The location of the hotel puts you in great proximity for prime shopping and site seeing. This was my first trip to Aruba and we were not disappointed ONE bit... plan to go back next year same time and place:))) - Must mention; although the prices were slightly higher than the norm, the hotel's bass dinner was unbelievable..., it's a must try!!! Aruba rocks!!!

Perfect Getaway

The Hyatt Regency in Aruba was everything we wanted and hoped for. The entire hotel staff are exceptionally warm, friendly and accommodating. It is a stunning hotel, especially the lobby, tropical courtyard and pools. We truly enjoyed all the accommodations including the beachfront, the restaurants & bars, spa & exercise room and casino. We hope to return in the near future.

Nice Hotel....horrible trip

The hotel was beautiful but the weather was horrible all week. With no water sports open there is nothing to do there. The beaches and water was very dirty with no visiblity at all. No night life at all. We will never go back there.

Costly relaxing but good.

The weather wasn't the best, but it was still a very relaxing trip. The people of Aruba were very nice and the Hotel staff was always helpful. I was happy they included the free breakfast with this trip. Had one drink, Pina Colade that had no Alcohol and was charged 9 dollars. The health drinks were much better. There was very little entertainment, and the casino was small. It would have been nice if staff told children to keep out of the Adult pool. Didn't understand the co-ed Steam and Suana.

Meets expectations

The Hyatt hotel at Aruba had an excellent staff willing to accommodate all your needs. I didn't think the resort was anything extra spectacular aside from the friendly staff. It had two decent pools, a few outdoor bars(excellent bartenders), the casino and other usual amenities. The beach property isnt that big and gets busy on a nice hot day. For those that get the included breakfast, its somewhat of a rip off, if you're expecting a nice breakfast, its basically continental. All in all it was a good experience and would go back there again or maybe try the Marriot.
