Top-rated elegance for families, or just adults
Renaissance Aruba Resort and Casino – All Inclusive, a 40-acre island paradise, has earned a 4-Diamond rating from AAA and has the only private beach in Aruba. There are two distinct experiences here. The Marina Hotel is adults-only luxury, and the Ocean Suites are family-friendly (and kids 12 and under stay free). A kids club has group activities, while tennis, golf and pools all offer wholesome fun. Work out any kinks with a couples massage at the cove, then hit the casino or an adults-only lounge. Seven restaurants offer fine dining or casual fare.
Highlights
  • 40 acres with beachfront and a private island
  • Patamingo Kids Club has activities and baby-sitting service, and kids 12 and under stay free with two adults
  • Seven restaurants offer fine or casual dining, including a tapas bar, steak house and Starbucks coffee
  • Spa has beachfront massages
  • Yoga classes and fitness center
Rooms
Lush textiles and pillow-topped beds add luxurious touches to rooms at the Renaissance Aruba Resort and Casino – All Inclusive. Both the family-friendly suites and the adult-only guest rooms come with a balcony, and stunning city or ocean view. Regardless of room type, a hair dryer, iron station and safe are in each. Coffee makers are provided, as is high-speed wireless internet. Premium movie channels are on the extended cable lineup.
Dining
Seven restaurants and several bars and lounges are on-site and offer dining options from fine to casual at the Renaissance Aruba Resort and Casino. Nibble small plates at Blue, a tapas and martini bar. A dessert wine and port list is available at L.G. Smith's, the upscale steak house with a dress code (no jeans). Two Starbucks coffee bars are on-site.
Recreation
Patamingo Kids Club has scheduled activities and baby-sitting service. The Okeanos Spa has a full menu of treatments, sauna and juice bar. The mangrove-hidden Spa Cove offers secluded outdoor massages for couples.

The Renaissance Mall is right by the Marina hotel which makes it really easy to shop. Right outside the mall are a number of tourist shops to get gifts to bring home.

Good anniversary vacation

Hotel was great the only dissappointing thing was the mattress it was uncomfortable. The private beach was the best. Staff was friendly and helpful. Close to the airport and shopping. Restaurants were very good but I would not recommend all inclusive unless you are a drinker.

Renaissance Marina

The staff was fantastic. Very attentive and wanting to help. The hotel was clean. We had all-inclusive and we were very impressed with the over-all quality and options available. LG Smith's Steakhouse was excellent for dinner. Aquarious had a very good breakfast buffet with waffle/omelet station and a very good seafood buffet in the evening with a cooking station for your choice of tuna, salmon, shrimp, lobster tail, and scallops cooked to order. The other option to eat at the Marina hotel is Blue - bar food + tapas. The only negative about Blue and LG Smith's is that they take their time getting your order out. Be prepared to wait a bit. You also have access to the Renaissance Ocean Suites a short walk away. They have 2 other dining options and the private island also has a very good dining spot. Service time is slow at those options as well. If you have a tour to catch or somewhere to be, go early! The private island is fantastic with very calm water and great amenities. We spent quite a bit of time touring the island and exploring the other dining options available outside of the Renaissance - which are many! The all-inclusive drinks are tasty and only includes Balashi and Balashi Chill - very good local beers. I'm not sure we would do all-inclusive again based on the fact that the island has so much to offer. The hotel is downtown and has a TON of shopping surrounding it. The "hotel zone" also has a TON of shopping. Most of the water sports (snorkeling, scuba, tubing, parasailing, etc) are located in the hotel zone. The cab far for 4 to the hotel zone is only about $14, so it isn't too much trouble to get there.

La Trattoria el Faro Blanco Restaurant by the California Lighthouse offers very good food with some of the best views on the island. It sits up at the northern end giving you oceanwide views and views of all of the island terrain, the hotel zone, and downtown.

Lovely for couples and families, tons of fun.

Carribean atmosphere with ocean breezes, palm trees, iguanas and birds. The food was excellent and so was the service. We enjoyed the private beach, the swim up bar in the pool. We had fun in the casinos and the shopping mall was very upscale. The staff was friendly and accomodating. We would surely love to come back.

If you need to call home, buy a calling card at the marketplace and use the outdoor payphone. Calling with a calling card from the room gets expensive.

Great Adult Only All Inclusive!

Great value and loved the fact there were separate family and adult only areas. It was our first time in Aurba and heard nothing but great things and took a flyer on this hotel. We do not have children and it was nice to have an adult only pool and private island and beach! :-) All inclusive deal was great even if you just eat breakfast (buffet style but will make waffles and omelettes!) and lunch or poolside/beach side snacks and beverages. House liquor and beer was fine and it was well worth the value for just that. Would return again and recommend to friends especially ones who want a kid free vacation!

You must have patience during peak hours. The wait staff is attentive but take a bit longer to deliver a cocktail than say in a NYC establishment. Also, be sure to lock up valuables in your room safe.
