All Inclusive - Manchebo Beach Resort and Spa

Upon arrival, we were a little wary. The entrance resembles that of a motel more than a 4-star resort. Coming into the "lobby" to check in we were neither greeted nor acknowledged. After standing awkwardly for a few minutes we were finally called over to be checked in. We were then escorted to our room. This room was disgusting. Not only did it have a foul moldy odor but there were holes in the walls, stains in the sheets and a mirror that look to bare the scars of a murder scene. We quickly called the front desk and they sent over the housekeeping manager, Rita, who arranged to have us sent to an upgraded ocean front room. Again, although much better than the first and recently updated, this room still did not feel like a four star resort. Once situated, we decided to head to the beach. On our way there we stopped at the bar to get a drink since we paid for the all-inclusive package. We had to wait 20 minutes to get Patron Margaritas because the tequila was locked in another restaurant. The beach and the beach staff were the best part of the resort. Alejandra at the beach kept the drinks and food coming with a smile all day. The beach itself is beautiful with a wide white sand beach and gorgeous turquoise water. Being that the hotel is small it is fairly easy to find a beach side talapa. The food at both restaurants was touch and go for the most part. Some of the dishes were fantastic, like the lasagna at Giorgio's and the escargot at the French Steakhouse. The service was good at both. It seemed that although there were plenty of hotel employees just sitting around because they had nothing to do (the hotel was well under-occupied), we still consistently heard the word "no". The front desk, especially the night staff never went out of its way to be helpful. At one point we asked for towels at about 9pm and were told no because the housekeeping staff had gone home. Also, the staff at the Spa del Sol is completely unaccommodating. When we told the Spa clerk that were interested in a longer, more expensive spa package she simple said no and did not attempt to find another time to schedule us. Overall the hotel has some promise but a majority of the staff needs training in hospitality and the hotel structure itself is in dire need of upgrading (a little paint would go a long way). It seems overpriced for the product you get.

Manchebo Resort was a great stay! Awesome location and very friendly staff. All inclusive is the way to go. Just be sure to bring tips for house keeping, drinks at the bar, breakfast, lunch and dinner. The beach is fantastic and they have drink service that will walk to your beach hut during the weekdays. Overall an amazing vacation. Aruba is beautiful.

It's hard to put into words. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. Not crowded, just right. I am so glad we didn't choose a bigger hotel so as to avoid the congestion. The food and service was fantastic. The all inclusive price was fantastic. It was hard to leave. (Next time I go, maybe I'll just stay there) ;0)

We had a great experience at Manchebo for our honeymoon. Not a lot of people and a very private beach exactly like reviews had said. Resort has a great location on beach, walk out of your room directly onto the beach. Still renovating some rooms, so some construction noise. But the new rooms are very nice. Walk-in shower is nice but flood into the bathroom which is a little annoying. Need a lip or something to stop the water. Prices for food and beverage seemed a little high, so all-inclusive is definitely the way to go. Also a 15% service fee on all food and beverage purchased. Food was pretty good, liked Giorgio's the best. Staff was nice, but seemed to be some language barriers sometimes. Overall a wonderful, relaxing, quiet honeymoon in Aruba, exactly what we wanted!!

Quiet two level hotel with a very large beach, which we loved to take long walks on. They offer a lot of straw huts for shade. The hotel does not have a lot of rooms and that is why we picked it. We did not want to be surrounded by a bunch of kids and people. The spa was really nice and relaxing. The 2 restaurants have excellent food and good size portions. We did all inclusive and felt that it was well worth the money. The only thing that I wish they had was a hot tub. It would have been nice some days to go in it and relax. Over all nice a quiet and at times felt like the only guest.

we are really like our hotel.Location was very nice,close to Downtown.Huge,clean beach.We spend a lot of time on the beach,we walked along the shore line.Meet other nice people.The staff were very friendly,the food and drinks were fantastic.This is a really nice place for people who want nature,not to deal with a big crowd.Very romantic and the bonus - you can have youga classes and no problems to make reservation to the restaurants and you do not have to fight to get the lounge chair and beach umbrella.At the conclusion we can say - it was the best vacation we ever had on the Caribbean insland.
