Palm Beach beauty for budget travelers with all-inclusive plans
Upgrading to all-inclusive is an option at the All Inclusive - Holiday Inn Resort Aruba, and the family-friendliness is generous (kids under 12 stay free with their parents). But, with a location this good, venturing out to explore Aruba's restaurants and shopping opportunities adds value to one's stay. Of course, with four restaurants and three bars, a spa and fitness center, and a slew of beach and pool activities, it may be hard to leave. The resprt offers recreation facilities such as zero-entry swimming pool with two Jacuzzis, equipped fitness center, four lighted and one non-lighted tennis courts, children's activity center, shopping arcade, Intermezzo Day Spa, and Excelsior Casino. The resort also offers scuba diving sessions. For meetings and banquet events, function spaces with a maximum capacity of 500 delegates are on offer.
Highlights
  • Zero-entry pools and gorgeous beach area
  • Kids activity center and separate swimming pool allows families to play together
  • Three restaurants and two bars
  • Close to shopping, movies, and dining
  • All-inclusive options including a breakfast buffet at Corals Restaurant
  • A new adult-only concept, THE Inn Club, is coming on 15 January 2013 and will welcome guests 18 years and older. THE Inn Club will feature new room options with updated decorations and walk-in shower as well as beverage service from Seabreeze Restaurant.

All guest rooms at the All Inclusive - Holiday Inn Resort Aruba feature latest amenities such as 37-inch LED TV, Wi-Fi access, safe deposit box, mini refrigerator, individually controlled air conditioning, iron with board, and balcony or patio. Roll away beds come with added cost.
Recreation
A kids activity center and activities at the pool dedicated solely to children provides some hands-on fun for families vacationing together at the All Inclusive - Holiday Inn Resort Aruba. Intermezzo Day Spa offers massages, facials and salon services. A fitness center was given a makeover in 2006. A sauna and whirlpool allow steamy and bubbly relaxation. Awesome

We would definitely stay here again. Very comfortable beds. When you stay for 8 days like we did, this is important. The only complaints I have is there is no music by the pool and we tipped the servers because they were great, but because we were all-inclusive, they didn't get the tips. If you want to tip the staff, bring cash. They are worth tipping. Cash is the only way they can get tipped, even though you put a tip on your bill.

Perfect for spring break

Booked this hotel as a last minute get away for spring break. Huge place - did not feel crowded. Right on the beach. We booked the all-inclusive deal. We have stayed at other all-inclusive resorts on other islands and found this one daunting because you had to sigh for EVERYTHING - every meal, every drink. I personally did not like doing that - if you are given one of those ridiculous wrist bands to wear proving you are an all-inclusive guest, then there should be no need to sign for everything. I know we will return to Aruba some day however, we will find another place to stay.

Disappointed

We stayed at the Holiday Inn 5 years ago and loved it, no complaints, so when it came time to book our trip it was a no brainer we would stay at the Holiday Inn again. We were so disappointed this time around the room was awful the musty smell was so strong and the mold and mildew was all over the walls in the bathroom, closet and you could even see on the ceiling of the main sleeping area. Unfortunately this is reason enough for me not to go back as it was disgusting. The staff was not very friendly. The food is good but never saw the restaurants open so we just ate at the buffet. The only thing this hotel has going for them is the set up of the pool being so close to the beach it is awesome and very convenient with the kids. My kids loved the pool.

" great island , poor hotel"

The best island in the world but the hotel had very poor service. The food is below average and the one ALC restaurant was open just two nights out of eight. I'll be back to Aruba but to a different hotel.

beyond awful- don't make this mistake

This was the absolute worst hotel and staff I have ever come in contact with. I don't get many vacation days and they were completely wasted on this trip. Aruba in general is beautiful, but this hotel is a HUGE ripoff and gross. DO NOT STAY HERE! It says all inclusive, but they do not take reservations in advance and we got there on a wednesday (tried to make reservations first thing in the morning) and were only able to eat in one of the restaurants on the night before we were supposed to leave on saturday. EVERYTHING WAS TOTALLY BOOKED- They were rude and wouldn't even put us on a waitlist. This forced us to go out for every single dinner, except for one. It was dirty, they were rude, and I have never come in contact with more miserable staff. Pay an extra $100 or $200 and go to ANY other hotel in Aruba!!! DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE AS WE DID!

good, bad & ugly

Hotel great customer service at desk, bars & restaurants. Hotel needs to be updated.... old looking. Carpet in hallway & room .. should be tile... carpet is gross. Bathroom stalls near beach really tight to get into. All inclusive should mean all drinks.... Not an extra charge for Heineken, Absolute etc. Beach rafts should be included in the all inclusive as well.

Great - Once we moved to another room!!

First before I left for Aruba I checked out the Remarks..and of course the first one I saw was that a couple said their room was inhabitable...so I was ready. So I asked the hotel clerk that I wanted an upgraded room right from the start and she told me it was $40 to upgrade. So I decided to look at the room...well this room hadn't been upgraded in 20 years...it was just awful and should have been bulldozed. It overlooked the garbage...so I went back to the front desk and I told her that I could not stay in this room....she then put me in another tower which was the upgraded tower and the room was now a superior room...and it was a nice room. We did have a nice stay there - it was only a 2 day stay since we had a timeshare for the next 7 days. I would not stay there again - wouldn't take the chance of not being able to get a nicer room the next time.
