Palm Beach beauty for budget travelers with all-inclusive plans
Upgrading to all-inclusive is an option at the All Inclusive - Holiday Inn Resort Aruba, and the family-friendliness is generous (kids under 12 stay free with their parents). Of course, with four restaurants and three bars, a spa and fitness center, and a slew of beach and pool activities, it may be hard to leave. The resprt offers recreation facilities such as zero-entry swimming pool with two Jacuzzis, equipped fitness center, four lighted and one non-lighted tennis courts, children's activity center, shopping arcade, Intermezzo Day Spa, and Excelsior Casino. The resort also offers scuba diving sessions. For meetings and banquet events, function spaces with a maximum capacity of 500 delegates are on offer.

Awesome

We would definitely stay here again. Very comfortable beds. When you stay for 8 days like we did, this is important. The only complaints I have is there is no music by the pool and we tipped the servers because they were great, but because we were all-inclusive, they didn't get the tips. If you want to tip the staff, bring cash. They are worth tipping. Cash is the only way they can get tipped, even though you put a tip on your bill.

Perfect for spring break

Booked this hotel as a last minute get away for spring break. Huge place - did not feel crowded. Right on the beach. We booked the all-inclusive deal. We have stayed at other all-inclusive resorts on other islands and found this one daunting because you had to sigh for EVERYTHING - every meal, every drink. I personally did not like doing that - if you are given one of those ridiculous wrist bands to wear proving you are an all-inclusive guest, then there should be no need to sign for everything. I know we will return to Aruba some day however, we will find another place to stay.

Carribean Vacation

The staff that worked the towel changing desk and the bar were very rude. I also witnessed two of the bartenders at the grill being ignorant to each other in front of the guest. Edgar in the restaurant was so pleasant. A lot of construction going on, very stingy with the alcohol. You were only aloud 2 drinks put sit down, thought this was an all inclusive?

Belongings were stolen right off the beach

We chose HI Aruba to stay for a business trip. While we were on the beach and out in the water, two men removed our belongings and began walking down the beach with them. I would recommend staying elsewhere on the beach with improved security rather than the HI Aruba. It ruined our trip and HI Aruba was not sympathetic.

It's what you pay for

The value in terms of cost is the only thing at the HI. Lesser cost, less amenities, less food options and complex under construction. The beach, water, sand are the same as any other hotel. So be aware of what you are looking for...

Eating off site is simple, safe, and full of options. Even with all inclusive option, breakfast, lunch and drinks are ok. Dinner is best to do off site.

Nice Relaxing Family Place

The hotel itself and the hotel room was clean and neat, the staff was very friendly and helpful. We had the all inclusive option and the food was good, but do wish there were a couple of more options for restaurants. We went with college age children and they enjoyed the hotel as well.
