This hotel was very comfortable, the room was spacious, staff were friendly & helpful and the location was excellent for central exploring central Buenos Aires, one block from the pedestrian mall, Calle Florida

I selected this hotel based on the Orbitz reviews and was not disappointed whatsoever. The room was spacious, with a king size bed, a desk, lounger, LCD tv, personal safe, and an adequately sized bathroom with strong water flow a toilet and separate bidet. The most impressive part of the stay was the free internet connection which could be accessed even in the vicinity of the hotel and was the fastest connection I've ever had at any hotel. I was able to perform video conference with no lag at full screen! Breakfast was the same daily, but included a wide variety of pastries, hot foods, cereals, breads, fruits, and even items cooked to order with fresh-squeezed OJ! Staff were friend, courteous and all spoke english (even the graveyard shift) which is very nice to have. All in all, this is a great place to stay when you need to be in the city center.

We booked this hotel because of it's reviews and we were not disappointed. We were able to walk to the pedestrian mall on Florida Street as well as to the beautiful canal area, Puerto Madero, where there were many upscale restaurants overlooking the water.Although we were only there 2 nights preceding an Antarctic Cruise, the hotel staff was friendly and helpful (especially [...]) in helping us to set up tours including a great city tour and a wonderful Tango/Dinner show with door to door transportation.The room was average size and clean and the bed very comfortable. One light was out over the sink when we arrived, and it was fixed immediately. There was a large window looking out onto the street below........not a great view, but we were in the middle of the city so no view was definitely worth it. We found all Argentinians, including the staff, to be very friendly. The staff all spoke and understood English, which was a great help since we do not speak Spanish. The only complaint we have is that we arrived one hour before check-in (on a rainy day after an overnight flight) and our room did not become available until one hour after check-in time.......a 2 hour wait! Unfortunately [...] was not on that day or we are sure he could have magically come up with some solution...........he was that good! They have a small lobby and we were able to take turns sharing the small seating area with other guests who were also waiting for their rooms. We would definitly stay at the Tryp Hotel again and highly recommend it.There was also a great buffet breakfast with made to order eggs available for the asking. The small restaurant also served lunch and dinner, although we were out at those times and did not try it.

One of my favorite things about this hotel was its proximity to Calle Florida and really good parillas. This hotel was very clean, and the staff was very informative and helpful. This hotel had a good breakfast, free business center, and wireless internet.

This is our second stay at a Sol Melia hotel and we continue to think very highly of this hotel brand. The hotel was rated as one of the top ten hotels in terms of quality/price in all of South America for 2009. We certainly agree. A wonderful breakfast, including eggs made to order if you wish, room service from morning until 11:30 p.m., and free wifi. All desk clerks spoke English and were very helpful. The room was spacious and impeccably clean. Every staff person did their job to make our stay a pleasant one. The hotel is located on San Martin in the Microcentro section of town (the business center) one block east of the Florida walking street. There were many restaurant opportunities. The area is safe and people, including mothers with children, were on the street as late as 10 p.m. or later. They recommended Tango Porteno for a tango show and we were overwhelmed by it. The food was excellent (think an art deco theatre, dinner club. The dancers were tremendous and it was a wonderful evening. Nearby is Sylvia and Mario's Leather on Marcelo T. de Alvear Street where they can make custom made leather coats in a matter of a couple days. It is the best in the city. The antique flea market at Plaza Dorrego in San Telmo is one of the great ones in the world. In short, the Tryp Buenos Aires help anchor our visit to this vibrant and exciting city. Book there with every confidence. We loved it.

I read the reviews everyone wrote. They were spot on. Nice staff very good location good food. Would stay there again.

The staff at this hotel were fantastic. Most spoke English and were very attentive. They even allowed us a late check-out as our departure was at night.
