The Panamericano Buenos Aires Hotel & Resort is situated on 9 de Julio Avenue, just in front of the Obelisk and the Colon Theater, in the downtown area of Argentine's Capital Federal known as "microcentro". It is Buenos Aires's nerve and vibrating center, a city with a European soul and latin fervor. Buenos Aires is Puerto Madero, with its restaurants, the "Puente de la mujer" (Woman's bridge) by Santiago Calatrava. But is also La Boca, with the "Bombonera" and Caminito; San Telmo with its fair, antiquarians and the air full of tango; the Costanera Sur (Southern riverside), with Lola Mora's fountain; and Plaza de Mayo square, with its Cathedral and its Casa Rosada (the Pink House). Buenos Aires is Palermo with the Planetarium, the Racetracks, the Zoo and the Floralis Generica, Eduardo Catalano's steel flower. Buenos Aires is tango and Maradona's soccer, but is also polo, pure skill and adrenaline.
