very pleasant stay
Everything about the hotel was very good except my room was too cold and there is no individual temperature control. The staff is very pleasant, the rooms are nicely decorated, the breakfast buffet is generous and tasty. The restaurant on the corner is a good place to eat.

hotel dos la America
Clean basic hotel with helpful desk and staff and fairly good location for visiting city. Breakfast could offer more variety in its offerings but good otherwise. City itself has many different areas and neighborhoods to explore. Trip to Lujan Zoo was the most memorable activity but also enjoyed estancia daytrip and watching Tango all over city. Evita musuem and Recolletta Cemetery very interesting. Buenos Aires is well worth a visit. Surely will be one of our most memorable trips. Patti and Alan Carlisle

Good experience
Very easy to walk to all points of interest the city. My son was with me, not 13-17 but 34 years old. The location was safe and good enough for any of us two to walk around by ourselves if wanted. The complimentary breakfast was very satisfactory and the service was always excellent in all areas, restaurant, front desk, rooms, etc.

We liked Hotel de Las Americas
We were traveling with our 21 year old daughter who is studying in Buenos Aires for a semester, and accomodations for 3 are NOT easy to find in Buenos Aires. We were exhausted from flying from Alaska (departed 6 am Saturday) to Buenos Aires (arrived 7 am Monday). Hotel de las Americas gave us a quiet room away from the street where we were able to sleep soundly on Monday during the day following our arrival, as well as Monday and Tuesday nights, after which we departed. Breakfast was decent. Reasonable dining nearby. Safe area. Overall, Hotel de las Americas was a good value for us.

We arrived early to check in (8:30 am) as check in was not until 3 I think. They told us they could have a room for us in an hour or so but we just said not to worry, that we are going to change our clothes, freshen up and store our bags until later. We were told to follow one of the hotel workers (who insisted on taking our luggage for us) as we thought they were taking us to store our bags. We were brought to the second floor to one of their empty conference rooms and told to use this room to change in and come back to the lobby when we werre ready. No matter what you asked for including a late check out they would try and accommodate you. Their team was outstanding, friendly and very helpful. This hotel gets a lot of flight crew so we were able to communicate in English with the staff as everyone could speak english. The rooms are fine, very clean and the daily breakfast buffet was good. Excellent assortment of fresh fruit, jogurt, cereal, eggs, ham, cheese, etc was included in your room price. The hotel has a parent hotel near by that you can use if you want to go swimming. We did not check it out but was told it was good. We would definately recommend this hotel - great location and well worth $65.00 a night.

This place came recommended by a local. It is on the waterfront...just ask as the locals as they all seem to know where it is. It is called "Siga La Vaco" in Pto. Madero. It is an all you can eat bbq (with a huge assortment of any type of meat) and salad bar. A 750 ml bottle of wine is included in your price per peson. We ended up ordering an extra bottle of wine and it came to $3.25 cdn for the bottle. We paid roughly $22 cdn per person for dinner.....on weekends I think it is a few dollars more. Well worth a visit.
