Excellent hotel in wonderful location
This is a pleasant, small hotel right on the main street in Ushuaia and close to everything that the town has to offer. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful and gave me great recommendations for restaurants and tours. Restaurant on the top floor provides a fantastic view of the harbour and Beagle Channel for breakfast. My only caveat would be that the rooms facing San Martin (the main street in town) get some of the noise from the street. I live in Manhattan, so it didn't really bother me, but if you are from the 'burbs you may want to request a different room.

Sightseeing tip:
Short walk from hotel
If you've come all this distance you *must* take a boat trip on the Beagle Channel. The staff here recommended the Patagonia Explorer boat and I was very impressed by the knowledge of the guide (great job, [...]) and the overall experience. Also recommend the Museum at the End of the World
