Nice and Cozy

I stayed here for a few days prior to an Antarctic cruise. The staff was very gracious and spoke very good English. My room was on the 3rd floor and had a decent view of the port. I utilized the spa services and was surprised and the professional quality of the massage for the price - $295p ~ $50us. Breakfast was average for South America (cheeses, bread, fruit, etc.) In comparison to other hotels in the area this was very "middle of the road" for the price. I was able to book early at a discounted rate. I don't think I would have been happy if I paid full price. One other thing to mention is that this hotel is at the end of the main road in town. This is nice because you avoid the traffic noise at night, but it also means that it takes a few minutes longer to get to and from the hotel whilst shopping. That was a minor hassle at the end of a long day of trekking...not necessarily a deal-breaker. Also, make sure to bring converters if you run 110v devices (mainly US). This surprised me because most South American hotels I've stayed at have the universal outlets. The front desk will lend you a few if needed, but they're usually in short supply. If the price was right, I'd stay here again. But without discounts, there are better hotels in the area to consider.
