Our three-floor resort offers 176 spacious guest rooms with views of the Iguazu Falls or the rainforest. With a private balcony and large windows, you'll feel even closer to nature.

All rooms are fully appointed and equipped with individually controlled air conditioning, High Speed Internet Access, the exclusive Sheraton Sweet Sleeper Bed, and much more.

Non-smoking rooms and rooms accessible to people with disabilities are available.

Welcome to Iguazu, a complete paradise surrounded by nature. Iguazu, which means "The Great Waters" in the Guarani language, is located in the northern part of the province of Misiones, right on the Argentine-Brazilian frontier.

Listed as a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site, the Iguazu Falls and Iguazu National Park's natural splendor and lush vegetation are a must-see. The falls extend over 2,700 meters, with over 260 waterfalls reaching 70 meters high. They can be appreciated from Argentina or Brazil, with the magnificent Devil's Gorge defining the border between the two countries.

There is a beautiful view from a watchtower that is located in the Hito Argentino (Argentine milestone), right in the confluence of the Iguazu and Parana rivers. This area draws the boundaries of the Argentine sovereignty with Brazil and Paraguay. The sight of the two rivers flowing together along with the exuberant vegetation is calming, yet amazing.

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

Arrive early and be prepared for high cost to take boat options to falls. We arrived too late.

The ideal place to stay

The Sheraton Iguazu has come into its years on one hand (and it would need a revamp soon), but on the other hand there is no better place to stay for seeing the falls, as you stay in the park itself. And you have the chance to see the falls when the others have left or not have arrived yet. The rooms are okay, nothing crazy, the breakfast buffet is big and contains a lot of variety. Take rooms with falls view by any means.

the view, the view, the view

The grounds were marvelous with easy access to the trails along the falls. The evening dinner of the chef's native surubi fish was delicious. I recommend! However, the food at the sports (snack) bar was bland, limited in menu items and below the quality of what a Sheraton should be. Personnel were all most helpful and very friendly. Waiter staff was excellent and attentive. A negative note: the pina colada at the sports bar was very small, had no alcohol to taste and was far too expensive for the lack of quality...$9.50! The morning buffet breakfast was A+. Rooms need a bit of redecorating -- a bit tattered in places (wallpaper, windows.) However, overall -- strongly recommend.

Awesome views of the Falls from

Awesome views of the Falls from the verandahs that face them but little to look at on the other side. A la carte restaurant is ordinary and for a captive market but breakfast buffet is very good. Not much to complain about here and the Falls make up for the minor niggles.

My review of Sheraton Iguazu Resort & Spa

The best reason to stay in this hotel it to be in the park of Iguazu Falls. We had a room with a view to the falls, and it was spectacular, though very expensive.

Outstanding location

A very comfortable modern hotel. It is the place to stay for anyone who wants to visit Iguazu Falls. It is the only hotel in the national park. A short walk from the Falls, half of the rooms have balconies with a nice view of the Falls. The price is high for Argentina, and the food is priced at American, not Argentine levels, but it is high quality. Iguazu Falls are spectacular, and this is a must hotel for a visit there: highly recommended. (Note that the outdoor pool looks very nice, but was under repair and emptied during my visit.)
