fraudulent charges

the hotel was excellent in all aspects, EXCEPT, i left my american express card for additional charges to the room and attempts were made for unauthoriazed charges of over $1200.00 on the first day of our stay. Fortunately American Express declined these charges and sent me a letter later to verify that the charges should be declined. My daughter who lives in Buenos Aires stayed with us in the room for three nights for agreed upon rate of $70 extra per night, and there was attempt to charge for 7 nights stay and only with arguing with staff were we able to correct this prior to our check out.
