I can't sleep
OK
The room I received was not what was pictured - far worse. The hotel is downtown so to speak and it is extremely noisy. The noise from the street does not stop - making it difficult to sleep. It is a rundown hotel. For one or two nights it is doable - but probably not for someone vacationing or trying to relax/enjoy themselves. The staff on the other hand was extremely helpful; beyond what was expected of them to make your stay comfortable. The selling point is the price. Hotels in B.A. can be expensive. However you get what you pay for. Kudos to the staff.

The taxi from the airport to the hotel is 160 pesos at most. Not a penny more. Hold your ground.

Mundial Hotel is Well Worth the Money
Great location, helpful staff, room was clean and comfortable, nothing fancy, but much more than we expected for the price. Nice breakfast and within walking distance of most BA attractions. Many nearby cafes and restaurants.

Hotel Mundial
We needed a good clean place to stay while in Buenos Aires. The Mundial would be OK for a one night stay for biz but would not recommend for a lengthy stay. The hotel is clean and the staff nice. The continental breakfast is on par with most. The rooms are adequate but the baths are small. Lots of late street noise but if you can sleep through that your fine. My biggest complaint was the bed. It was much like sleeping on a slab of marble.

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
Since many people walk in Buenos Aires everything is a short walk away. Lots to do a short walk or cab ride away.

really good location
Right on Ave 25 de Mayo between the Plaza de Mayo and the congressional building. Lots of places to eat near by, and a lot to see as well. The room itself was really clean, but small. The bathroom was a little tight to use, but wasn't too bad. The staff spoke English and were easy to deal with and nice. Overall it was a very good deal for what I paid for the room.

Good Average Hotel
Small Rooms and bath. Good Location. Nothing to write home about but good for an overnight stop over in Buenos Aires. I probably wouldn't stay at this location if I were staying longer than a night. Great Internet Connections!

Excellent for the price. The room
Excellent for the price. The room and bathroom were clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. Due to it´s location there was some road noise in the mornings but I´ve lived in inner city suburbs before so it didn´t bother me. Breakfast was adequate, a selection of breads, cold meats and spreads but nothing special. Overall very happy with the experience and would definitely recommend.

Hotel Mundial
My second stay at Hotel Mundial was very different from my first. The room was much smaller with a small twin bed and paint pealing from the ceiling. The tv did not work properly. The staff was helpful with information and booking transport to the airport. However, because there were some hours before my flight, the staff person suggested that I leave my two bags in their storage and spend those hours in Buenos Aires. When I came to claim my bags, only one was there. The backpack with most of my purchases from a month in Argentina was missing along with the clerk who took them to storage. I was told he became ill and went home. The clerk on duty told me it was too bad that sometimes people take what is not theirs. She said the hotel can not be held responsible for luggage left in their care. It is extremely dissappointing to lose over $100 of prescription medicine which will do the thief no good as well as over $300 of gifts for my grandchildren.

Sightseeing tip:
Short walk from hotel
Buy tickets for the opera very early as the less expensive seats sell out fast
