Hollywood Suites & Lofts Palermo

Room was excellent! Kitchen was completely full, including an electric juicer for the mornings.... Loft sleeping area was as imagined, and very comfortable... Staff extremely friendly and helpful... Would definitely come back!

Getting to the hotel from the airport was a nightmare. We were told that we'd be picked up but after calling back/forth and waiting for HOURS, no one showed up. Also, if you plan to rent a car, tell them up front. Parking is only free if you ask for it at the outset--otherwise there's a fee. Most of the staff members were gracious, but one woman had an attitude in the morning at breakfast (the one who asks for your room number). Despite all of that, we enjoyed the views here (superb) and the accommodations in Palermo are convenient--easy walk to the train and great restaurants/ice cream spots like Sudestada (spicy food) and Chungo (get the lemon mousse).

Great hotel/loft. Check'ed in and was put on an high floor with a spectacular view of the city. Staff was friendly. No complaints except that they could provide more towels. Free breakfast was good. Location was close to everything from SOHO to the subway if you are going to Recoleta or other various places. Beware: Cabs may give you fake pesos back if you give them high bills. Before you check your change to ensure you do not get fake pesos bill back.

I was visiting my son who was spending a semester in Buenos Aires and found the hotel to be conveniently located and well-equipped. The famous parilla (restaurant) Las Cabreras is walking distance as was a street fair with lots of artisans selling their handiwork. When I did want to leave the very nice neighborhood of Palermo, it was easy to get a taxi from the hotel, and the subway is only a few blocks away. The staff was helpful and accommodating. I liked the loft design, but the stairs to get to the second-floor bed and bath would not be suitable for someone with physical limitations. I enjoyed the balcony. The only negative was that by some apparent flaw in design any breath of wind sounds like a hurricane! I was usually able to sleep through it.

This property just didn't feel right. It is decent, rooms are spacious and like the full kitchens and balconys, but it really isn't a hotel, feels more like an apartment building (it actually is) without any services except the decent breakfast every morning. We kind of liked it, but it lacks that something special that makes for a truly memorable vacation. This area of Palermo, while having plenty of restaurants (none fabulous), is rather seedy and, the locals tell us, dangerous.

Please be aware this is a condo setting that they have turned into a hotel. There are no consergiere services, and if you don't speak spanish, good luck. Also pool was not open 2 of the 4 days we were there, one day they said because they were filming a commercial on rooftop, all of their crew was using both elevators and our party had to walk down 8 flights of stairs. Second day because the staff said their was not enough guests. Would never stay there again and this is my third trip to Argentina and my husband speaks perfect spanish.

My wife and i (late 20s, early 30s) stayed here for half of a week. Easy walking distance to the rest of the Palermo neighborhood: lots of restaurants, shopping, etc. No subway stop nearby, but plenty of cabs, and the hotel is very helpful about calling cabs and remis for you.

I had planned to stay at the Hollywood Suites with a friend of mine, who was called away to work at the last minute. Because I ended up traveling alone, I spent more time in the hotel than i might normally have, and being able to come back to my fabulous loft made my trip much more enjoyable. The lofts, while decorated in a modern style (concrete, brown suede, dark wood), still had a warm and inviting feel. The full kitchen was convenient, the balcony and panoramic view were amazing, and the location is in the heart of the trendy Palermo neighborhood. There are countless bars and restaurants nearby, the metro is a short walk. I would recommend this hotel for anyone visiting BsAs, unless you need to be in the financial/central district, which is a bit far (15-30 min by metro).

Very nice rooms, a bit too big maybe. Very confortable bed. Best suited for long stays (few weeks or months actually).

The Hollywood Suites and Lofts was local living at its best. A short distant away from the tourist area it provided a real look at how the local live. The suite was local architecture at its best with each guest having upper and lower living spaces. Full service appliances,dining, T.V. on the lower levle with upper level sleeping accomandations and a outdoor balcony for relaxation were its hightlights. An outdoor pool on its very top floor with a workout area.
