great hotel
I stayed a week in Buenos aires at the esplendar hollywood. The hotel is modern efficient and clean. The staff were very helpful and spoke English as well as very patiently listening to my Spanish. The breakfast was coffee tea, juice pasties fruit ham cheese and cereal, a wonderful way to start the day but don't overlook all of the cafes. The room was large with a balcony overlooking the tree lined streets. the bathroom was modern and very large. a more european modern feel. Out side the restaurant at each corner war 4 different restaurants an Argentinian(meat) called 22, an Asiancalled Osaka, a pizza pasta, and a Thai. in addition you are only a few blocks from Palermo Soho, which has shopping and other restaurants. The neighborhood was very nice, a little far from some attractions, but get a cab, the hotel will call one and then take your time walking back shipping at the cafes. the zoo, botanical gardens, japanese gardens are about 2o minute walk, on balance we had a very good time, if you are looking for a quiet hotel with helpful staff, and a nice room, and atmosphere, i would recommend this hotel.
