Good Reasonably Priced Hotel
We were two girls and wanted to stay at an economical hotel. We weren't thrilled by the adult store right across from the hotel, but the location was great. We were close to Florida where all the stores and shopping, as well as the hop-on/hop-off bus started off. It seemed a lot more lively than the areas which only seem to come more to life at night. The breakfast which came with the room rate was extremely good - loved the fruit choices and hot options. The front desk and concierge staff were also great & extremely helpful!

Excellent location
This hotel is in an excellent location, centrally located, very clean, the staff were very attentive, the buffet breakfast one of the best we've seen. The only negatives were the hotel is a little dated and our room was small. But for the 3 days we were there this was not a major challenge. We would certainly recommend it to others. It still ranks as four and a half stars!

We were jiust a short walk to the Florida Street shopping precinct. Everything from top quality shops to a plethora of street vendors. Very centrally located hotel.

great in city location
The front desk staff all spoke good English and were very helpful. This made the trip easy in a Spanish speaking country. The room was clean and well kept. They provide free wifi throughout the hotel and have a room always open with 3 free computers connected to the internet, but tricky to get English websites for Yahoo etc. The location is right in the heart of downtown shopping, but Florida street can be a bit offputting with constant street vendors, although you get used to it and comfortable. The location was great for getting around or walking to all the important areas. The free breakfast was plentiful and decent although repetitive. You could fill up for half the day. Great coffee. We enjoyed a trip to a working ranch they arranged, but a bit expensive. One old Gaucho did all the horse work and singing. But interesting. Tango dancing on the street and in a show was a highlight.

Galleria Pacifica was a giant modern interior mall a few blocks away. Different but familiar and with an elaborate food court with all levels and types of food.

Very good overall
Overall, a very pleasant stay. This is a grand old hotel that suffers a bit from poor maintenance (e.g. peeling paint). But the staff are very helpful and overwhelmingly fluent in English, and the location very good - right off the main pedestrian shopping street, a few blocks from the subway, walking distance from Casa Rosada and other tourist sites. Wifi slow but workable. Large safe in room.

Nice Hotel, Great Location
The Claridge hotel is in a great location for walking around the city. The staff was great at providing suggestions for dinner and shopping. The room was nice, but definitely needs new carpet. The breakfast buffet was very good.
