old and gross

This hotel was old and although reasonably clean, needs major improvements. The mattresses were old and the sheets well worn. The towels were old, and not matching. Not sure what was on the carpet, but it needed to be replaced. The continental breakfast consisted of stale bagels, and cereal in plastic containers that was stale enough to stick together so you couldn't get it out of the container. The breakfast was served from 6-9, but there was no coffee at 8:50 and they werent going to make anymore. The one bright spot was a girl at the front desk, she was very polite and helpfull.

We arrived too late to make use of the dining facilities or other amenities. The check in staff was quite friendly, and they opened doors for us as we brought in luggage. The room was in excellent shape, and even though the location is next to the interstate, we were not bothered by noise. Good variety on the continental breakfast. Our only dissatisfaction was over not being able to set the heat for the room, as it was warmer than we would have chosen, in spite of the snow flying outside.
