Score 5 out of 5 Making some changes Anonymous, Nashville, TN Remember that in the cold temps the Town Square is not right around the corner.I was pleased with the Snow King Resort, with the exception of the sound of a saw in the middle of the night doing some renovations in the lobby area. The staff were helpful. But all in all the room was clean, and nice....but remember when booking that you are not within walking distance of the town or rather desirable distance; and to plan your busride to the JH ski resort in plenty of time. Score 5 out of 5 comfortable and friendly Lillian, Chicago, IL A short ride on the shuttle bus takes you downtown with many, many places to shop. The galleries are extraordinary. Many places to dine.Though the hotel is located too far to walk to town, the shuttle service is excellent. You can reach just about any part of Jackson. The hotel amenities were satisfactory. Hotel staff professional and friendly. However, there is only one restaurant. I suggest that they have a cafe that would serve sandwiches, soup and light menus. Score 4 out of 5 My review of Snow King Resort Randall, Dallas, TX, 2007-03-03 Snow King Resort is not located in the Teton Village Ski resort. If you are a first timer to ski at Jackson this is important to know. Teton Village is the main ski area. Snow King is a small secondary ski area. Teton Village is located outside of the town of Jackson about 20 - 30 minutes from Snow King Resort by shuttle bus ($3 one way). Snow King Resort is a long walk (in winter) from the main square in Jackson ($8 cab ride, free shuttle). The resort promised to pick us up at the airport. The shuttle was too full for us to load our gear so we were told to wait for the next shuttle which was on the way and should be there in 5 - 10 minutes. After waiting 30 minutes we called the hotel. We were assured that a shuttle would be there any minute. Another fifteen minutes passed with no shuttle. We called the hotel and was again assured the shuttle would be there any minute. We told them that we would just take a cab instead and they offerred to reimburse us which they cheerfully did upon our arrival at the resort. Overall Snow King Resort was a good deal for the money but definitely not a top of line ski experience. Score 4 out of 5 Friendly but not well organized Karen, 2007-02-22 Access to Jackson for nice dining, and shopping is a short bus rideThe room was great as far as very spacious and well organized to give everyone their own space. The resort is well connected to bus systems for transportation to Jackson and Jackson Hole. Wireless connection is also provided. The staff was friendly Score 5 out of 5 great views Anonymous, Memphis, TN, 2007-02-04 The Snow King was a very cozy place to stay. Just a short walk to the cutest little town you will ever see. The food at the restruant and in town was very expensive. Ask for room #607. We had a great view of the mountain and could watch the ones who could ski, ski down the mountain. Not the best place to go for first time skiers. Very small learning area and only 1 so called easy trail. Score 5 out of 5 Great atmosphere Nickolas, Memphis, TN, 2005-10-26 The Jackson square has many shops along with restaurants and bars. The Snow King was very pleasant and relaxing, the room seemed much larger than most with a desk area and a table and two chairs. I liked the fact that the bathroom was separate from the vanity area and there was a sink with a long counter and there was adequate space for hanging clothes and they provided two suitcase stands. The location was very good -- it was really only one long block to downtown Jackson Square. Score 5 out of 5 Good Job Anonymous, Idaho Falls, ID, 2005-09-24 Look in to the shuttle to town. Was nice to have. Streets in Jacksons are crowded and narrow at times.Found the staff very nice and helpful . Enjoyed the food though the wait was a little long. Over all it was a great experiance. Score 5 out of 5 Beautiful View carol, Dallas, TX, 2005-08-26 Everything is close...very unique town...loved it...will try to return some day. When we arrived, we were very disappointed with our room...the room smelled very stale and there were stains on the carpet; however, when we complained, the staff was awesome and moved us to a very expensive room which was incredibly wonderful.. It was a new condo, decorated beautifully, view was incredible...kitchen had everything imaginable..and I don't think I have ever seen such an awesome shower...anyway, it was GREAT!!! We felt very special... My sister has severe COPD, therefore, we would not have been able to stay in the first room..and the new room was very very clean..and pristine.. thank you Snow King Resort.. |
