Most recent user reviewsScore 5 out of 5 Great travel stop Anonymous From the East take the second exit for Green River...otherwise you have to cut all the way thru town. The Oak Tree Inn Green River is a quite new hotel, located just off the interstate, which makes it a great choice when you're just stoping on your way to somewhere else. They have a quaint 50's style diner in front of the hotel, with just about anything you'd want to eat, and the Oak Tree Inn gives everyone staying with them coupons for an all-but-free breakfast. The room itself is very roomy, with plenty of room to spread out. The free high speed internet had the fastest speed of any other place on our trip. Definately would recommend to anyone. Score 2 out of 5 Oak Tree Inn - Green River, WY. Anonymous, 2006-09-06 Hikers, mountain bikers and watersports fans will enjoy the Green River location, with tall Buttes and water access nearby. We arrived at the property in the late afternoon to find a front desk clerk clearly stressed as she frantically attempted to accomodate a very large number of railroad workers who had been dispatched to the area to deal with a recent derailment. Apparently this property is regularly used to house railroad workers, since the town is a large railroad hub. Many of the affected workers were greeted with a curt "wait or walk" response from her as they inquired about space available. we were provided a Queen room with a view of the parking lot and several rail employees who passed the time chatting by their vehicles. The evening stay was rather noisey with so many people present, and the next morning's breakfast was abruptly cancelled as we awoke, citing an annual "deep cleaning" of the restaurant, with no offer of alternate dining site nor refund of the amount allotted for breakfast. We will not stay at this hotel again. Score 5 out of 5 My review of Oak Tree Inn Green River Katherine, Portland, OR, 2006-08-13 Restaurants not in area. The one that is is not very clean. The hotel was adequate. The restaurant situation was not good, but the hotel provided us with a coupon at the closest restaurant for breakfast. It was the cleanest restaurant. We drove through the town which was a distance away and found no other restaurants open for the evening. OK for 8 hours, but not A1. Employees were extremely friendly. |
