Tamarac which is was nice for shopping was there.When I checked in the lady at the desk and I use this term loosely was very rude and unfriendly. The rooms were not clean and the sink and tub would not drain very well. The only thing I can say is thank God we only stayed in the room long enough to sleep and shower and it was not more than the 2 days. The air condition was either too cold or too hot. You couldn't set it to come on except up on high. Nasty rooms. Nasty lady. Also in the warmer months there is a coal Mine and museum that you can take a ride inside the mine and learn how they used to mine coal in the early days. Bring a sweater since it is about 58 degrees year round.We were very pleasantly surprised with this hotel. I have muscular dystrophy and can't walk stairs. when we drove up and saw it was right off the interstate. But they must have special sound proofing glass because I never heard a thing from outside. The room was clean. It even had a recliner chair which is esay for me to get in and out of and made it more comfortable to watch TV. There was also a comfort height toilet which was good for me and a seat in the bathtub with a long handle for the shower. It was lacated on a stretch of road with more than ten choices of restaurants. It was located nearby most of the atractions we had come to see. There was also an iron and ironing board and a combo Microwave/refrigerater plus a coffee maker. It was a ver nice hotel to stay in. I would stay there again. And the hotel was very close to the Interstate making in easy on-easy off.The Days Inn Beckley WV was very comfortable. The hotel staff very helpful in giving directions to the events we were attending. The contentinal breakfast was tasty as well. The room was well stocked with tolietries and clean. |
