For the price it was fine. The motel was very full but the staff kept the food replentished for the breakfest. Nice job. Overall I would come back. I hadn't cancelled the room. Being on of the busiest days due to a football game, I am guessing someone there got a few dollars under the table to get someone a room. They were able to give me a room that was out of service and two floors away instead of adjoining. So instead of checking in to our rooms after a long day we had to spend a half an hour fighting with the hotel to get what I had paid for already. I was looking for a cheap, but comfortable, clean and convienent location. I found all of the above at the Super 8, Madison East. I would recommend this hotel. Large shopping center and numerous dining places are available a short drive away.We stayed two nights on the weekend of a Univ. of Wisconsin football game. Although most other hotels we checked raised prices substantially for the football weekend, this Super 8 did not. We feel we got an excellent bargain and had not complaints with the room. We had trouble with a light in the bathroom, and the maintenance person was very helpful, checking back several times to make sure it was working properly. We stayed the night after a home Wisconsin game and found the hotel guests quiet and the hotel staff helpful. We were on the interstate side of the building however, and it the road traffic was constant and noisy. The location is good although hard to see from the road so be sure to get instructions.
