Clean and inexpensive

We ate at The Machine Shed amd the food was excellent.

The Excel Inn at Appleton was a very clean and convienient location. It was right off of the interstate and easily accessible. The staff was very friendly at check-in.

Largest mall in the region is just a short drive from this motel

Very friendly staff from front desk to housekeeping. Rooms and common areas clean and well-kept. Bright In-room lighting was a plus. Ample parking. Close to a variety of eating establishments as well as area amenities.

There is a large mall within one mile of the property.

The Exel Inn Appleton was a comfortable, pleasant hotel. It is an older property but well maintained and clean. The bathroom was small but the sink was separate from the tub and toilet, which we appreciate. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very basic, with limited options - packaged muffins and donuts, coffee, and juices.

Great Value for Cheap Traveller

Upon check-in the hotel didn't have my reservation on file(someone on their end hadn't communicated well), so they upgraded me to a room with a bigger bed for the same price. It was a little discomforting to know that they hadn't recieved my reservation, but the clerk took care of it right away. Other than that the hotel was awesome for what we needed, just a place to rest inbetween shopping sprees!
