It's also near a full-blown mall.This was a beautiful hotel--it's one of the newest ones in Eau Claire, I believe. However, the wall are thin--you can hear people talking in the room next to yours and you can almost understand them word for word. We also had trouble with our keys not working--twice. They did give us a discount on our nightly rate, but only after I complained to the manager. The night staff guy who came to try and fix it when we were having the problems didn't even apologize. I probably wouldn't stay at this particular hotel again if I had to pay the regular rate. Because we had a separate bedroom, we were able to have guests in the sitting area. We look forward to future stays at the GrandStay Residential Suites. Front desk girl was very helpful and friendly . The room was clean and up to date . Like the outdoor seating area . Restaurants and shopping close by .This was the fourth visit and will plan to stay again . Would recomend this hotel. Also located at highway intersects, so easy to accesss freeway when time to leave or find other aresa in Eau Claire.Very comfortable at a reasonable price. Location close to mall and stores in area. We have stayed there 3 or 4 times and will probably stay there again. Pool is small, but not a major problem. Everyone friendly and breakfast in the am makes it easy to start your day. Score 5 out of 5 Very clean and comfortable Jeanne, 2005-04-29 I found the hotel to be very clean and classy with many of the comforts of home (a complete kitchenette, bar w/stools, three actual separate rooms, continental breakfast, plenty of coffee). Very pleasant. The staff, too, was kind and helpful. I enjoyed the stay and will return there when I travel to Eau Claire again. |
