Super 8 was very comfortable with a nice whirlpool and pool. The room had a small desk/table and refrigerator. The location was nice--just off the beltline, and close to shopping, etc. Only 12 minutes to State Street, and just minutes to WestTowne mall.

Great Convenient Motel

This is the best motel we have stayed in - that is close to the Veteran's Hospital. We have to go quite often and have stayed at more expensive motels and were not as satisfied. I love that the pool and exercise room are open 24 hours and the desk is staffed for 24 hours. I felt more comfortable and safer in this motel than any in the area so far. It will definately be top of my list and I will be staying here from now on when we need to go to the hospital. The shopping malls are close by and the genealogy Library is close by also.

variety of restaurants next to the hotel

The South Madison Super 8 provided very nice accomidations for the price. Easy access to area highways, dining and shopping. The staff was very helpful for any directions or needs. The only negative comment - the heater in the room was a little difficult to regulate as they are in moxt hotel rooms. A digital thermostat would make this much easier.

The only problem is that the satellite TV was out. I think they should have told us that when we checked in - We were only in Madison for Badger Hockey - No TV that night was kind of a drag when we got back from the game.

There are wonderful restaurants and an art museum between the campus and capitol. I especially enjoyed the ethnic food choices.

Smokey Displeasure

I am not a smoker, however, I realized that I was going to be in smoking room. WhatI did not realize was that it was going to have a hanging musty smokey smell that permeated my clothes for the following day of business appointments.

Within a short drive there were numerous restaurants including 2 pizza places, a Mexican restaurant, and a bar. Right next door was a Perkins (one of our favorites.)

The Super 8 Madison was very centrally located to the places we needed or wanted to be such as the University hospital and Monona Terrace. It was also within a few blocks of several restaurants. Besides the great location the room was good sized and offered 2 chairs, a desk, and plenty of counter space. As a continental breakfast theirs was adequate.

Easy to get to many things within a few miles.

We like everything about the Super 8 Madison. It is very clean and comfortable. We LOVE the continental breakfast. It is well-stocked and offers good choices. We appreciate the free computer/internet in the lobby. I can check my email while sipping my coffee in the morning. The location is very good for us, easy on and off the expressway.

A wide variety family restaurant in very close walking distance from the hotel, with a quick store around the block for all your needs.

The room we recieved was very comfortable. It served its purpose well for us having a child with us. Very relaxing feeling when in the room. Pool was good, but water was alittle too cold. Could have been warmer. It was right next door to a restaurant which was nice considering they did not have a restaurant in the hotel itself. I would definitely stay in the hotel again, due to its central location being right off the main hwy in Madison, so it was close to many different parts we needed to go in the city.
